Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ogre Treestump!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Heath Herring!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Santiago Holmes and Peter Branson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Herring misses with a wild body shot.
Treestump gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Herring lands a jab to the head.
Treestump shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Herring as he avoids it easily.
Treestump looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Herring staying out of range there.
Herring scores with a punch to the head.

Treestump shoots in and gets a takedown into Herring's guard.
Treestump stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Herring swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Treestump passes Herring's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Treestump is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Treestump tries to pass to full mount but Herring defends it.
Herring is trying to get back to full guard.
Herring wants to control but Treestump is keeping busy.
Herring is controlling Treestump's position as best he can from this difficult position.

Treestump is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Treestump wants to work for an arm triangle but Herring is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Treestump tries to pass to full mount but Herring defends it.

Treestump looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Herring is pressing down on Treestump's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Treestump drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Treestump jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Herring is looking to cinch up a triangle. Treestump throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Herring's body to avoid the submission. Herring has instead reached around Treestump's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Herring arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Heath Herring!
Heath Herring decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
Ogre Treestump spoke after the fight, saying 'Oh hell'.
