Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Thurman Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kantemir Kantemirov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kantemir Kantemirov is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kantemirov closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kantemirov lands in his opponent's guard.
Wallace tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Wallace is pulling down on Kantemirov's head. It's preventing any offense from Kantemirov, at least for the moment.

Wallace will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Kantemirov thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Wallace is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Wallace is breathing heavily.

Kantemirov might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Wallace haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Wallace's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Kantemirov is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Kantemir Kantemirov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Wallace has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Further stalling from Wallace.

If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Wallace is stinking the place up with his stalling.

Kantemirov is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

This is a sustained period of stalling by Wallace.

Wallace seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Kantemirov for as long as he can get away with.

Wallace is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Kantemirov is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Wallace is really struggling to control Kantemirov but he's trying to hold on to the position.
