Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Meguru Takayanagi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yolo Yolovski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yolo Yolovski is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Meguru Takayanagi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Yolo Yolovski! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Hirohito Nitta and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Yolovski looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Takayanagi swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Yolovski wants to clinch but Takayanagi slips to the side enabling Takayanagi to counter with a crisp jab. Yolovski closes the distance and clinches. Takayanagi is fighting off a takedown attempt but Yolovski is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Takayanagi to the mat. Takayanagi regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Yolovski is looking to pass into half guard but Takayanagi pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Takayanagi is in guard. Takayanagi throwing strikes but missing. Yolovski throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Yolovski avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Yolovski working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Takayanagi doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Takayanagi manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Takayanagi accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yolovski has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Takayanagi is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Yolovski. Yolovski is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Takayanagi has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Takayanagi keeps the fight on the outside. Yolovski moves to clinch but Takayanagi breaks away and Takayanagi connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Yolovski wants to clinch and Takayanagi counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Yolovski drives through and clinches with Takayanagi against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Takayanagi's face as he tries to break the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Takayanagi misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Takayanagi doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Yolovski avoids the elbow strike from Takayanagi, against the cage.
Yolovski drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Yolovski is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Yolovski drops down looking for an ankle pick but Takayanagi pulls his leg out and moves away.
Meguru Takayanagi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yolo Yolovski. Yolovski closes the distance and clinches. Yolovski has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Takayanagi clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Yolovski is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Takayanagi won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Yolovski off his unconscious opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Yolo Yolovski! Yolo Yolovski was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
