Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dazza Tomo!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Daniel Bishop and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tomo clinches with his opponent.

Tomo has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Franco uses from the top position.
Franco slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Franco stands up from Tomo's guard - Franco perhaps looking for a knockout.

Dazza Tomo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tomo drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Franco manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tomo tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Tomo has picked Franco up - he's going for a ride! Tomo dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Franco tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Franco is controlling Tomo's trapped leg to prevent Tomo from advancing to side control.
Franco could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Tomo blocks the strikes from Franco.
Tomo working over Franco with some ground and pound. Franco looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Franco wants to control but Tomo is keeping busy.

Franco wants to get back to his feet.

Franco throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Franco is refusing to be controlled, as Tomo sits in half guard.
Franco has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Tomo is looking to advance position but Franco won't allow it.
Tomo lands strikes from half guard.
Franco tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Tomo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Franco. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Tomo takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Franco wants to get back to his feet.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Tomo tries to clinch there but Franco circles away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tomo misses with a jab, cross combination.
Franco wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Franco tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
A combination from Tomo does no damage.
Tomo lands a jab-cross combination.
Tomo lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Tomo has managed to clinch.
Franco is trying to pull guard but Tomo has him pressed against the cage.
Franco misses with the head strike.

Tomo breaks from the clinch.
Franco is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Tomo.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tomo stuffs the takedown attempt from Franco. Franco gets slowly back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Tomo scores with a takedown into Franco's guard.

Franco wriggles free and stands up.
Tomo paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.


Franco is rocked!

Tomo shoots in for a takedown. Oh, that's a huge slam! Franco is on queer street and Tomo is pounding down on him with a barage of strikes. The ref is forced to step in and stop the fight. Great finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Slam). Dazza Tomo!
