Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Teddy Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cadu Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cadu Silva has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Teddy Green!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cadu Silva!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Leandro Rodrigues and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Green drives through and clinches with Silva against the cage.
Green is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Silva pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Green working hard to break the clinch.
Silva stalling against the cage.

Silva pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Silva feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Green has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Silva off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Green moves in looking to clinch but Silva pushes him off.

Silva moves into the clinch.

Silva breaks from the clinch.

Silva shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Green's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Silva trying to control the position from guard on top but Green is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Silva wanted to stand there but Green had control of the position.
Green tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Green looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Silva puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Silva prevents Green from improving his position.
Silva lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Green tries to roll over but Silva keeps him under control.
Green moves into full guard.
Green lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.


That's two minutes gone in the round.
Green not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Silva looking to hit a scissor sweep but Green is one step ahead there.
Green throwing strikes but missing.
Green with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Green looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Green stands up and waves to Silva to follow him.

Green shoots in and drives through. Silva sprawls well.

Green moves into the clinch successfully.

Silva breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Silva shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Green's guard.
Green bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Silva's guard.

Silva is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Green slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Silva is pulling down on Green's head to control his posture.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Green is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Green throws a strike but Silva rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Silva drops back, looking for a kneebar! Green looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Green looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Green!

Green wants to stand but Silva has his arm trapped.
Green cracks Silva with an elbow. That is naaassty.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Teddy Green will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Green has Silva up against the cage in a clinch.
Green is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Silva to keep the fight standing.
Green tries to break the clinch but Silva is controlling the position.
Silva looking to stall.

Silva manages to break the clinch.

Silva rushes Green and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Silva pulls guard successfully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Green engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Green seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Silva for as long as he can get away with.

Green works over Silva with some ground and pound from guard.
Green is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Green is stalling in the full guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Green postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Green controlling from the top position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Silva drives through and clinches with Green against the cage.
Green has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Silva avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Green breaks from the clinch.
Silva misses with a combination
and Green counters with a three punch combo that has Silva backing up. Silva nods at Green to acknowledge the strikes.

Silva gets the takedown into side control.
Green manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Green with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Green is thwarting Silva's attempts to control the position.
Silva is breathing heavily.
Green slows the pace down in half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Silva is trying to stand.
Silva has hold of Green's hands but Green slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Silva tries to get to full guard but Green has control of the leg.
Green is thwarting Silva's attempts to control the position.
Green is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Teddy Green will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Green tries to clinch up but Silva circles away and keeps his distance.

Green closes the distance and pushes Silva back into the cage.
Green has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Silva after a bit of a struggle.
Green tries for a takedown but Silva manages to get underhooks.

Silva jumps guard and drags Green to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Silva can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Green controls the pace.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Silva has his feet on Green's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Green wants to clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Both fighters circling a little - Silva finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Silva moves into the clinch.
Green is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Silva is defending well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Teddy Green. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Silva is pressed up against the cage. Green has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Silva down to the mat. Silva avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Green fails with an attempt to clinch.
Green is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Cadu Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva rushes Green with punches - Green moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Green goes down! Silva follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cadu Silva!
