Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jake Weber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Troy Poland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jake Weber! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Troy Poland! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Hugh Johnson and Topper Green.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Poland misses with a takedown attempt - Weber sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Poland throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Weber's waist but Weber gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Poland off to one side. Weber misses with an uppercut. Poland closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Weber flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Weber might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Weber gets back to full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Poland is looking to advance position but Weber has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Weber breaks from Poland's wrist control and lands an elbow. Weber has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Weber punishing his opponent with strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Weber tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Weber thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Weber working Poland over with strikes here. Poland is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Weber has control of Poland's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Poland regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Poland in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Poland can do anything to dispel that myth. Poland tries to buck Weber off so he can stand up but Weber has got his back now - this could be big trouble! He's slapped on a rear naked choke that looks really tight! Poland falls backwards, slamming Weber to the mat but Weber holds on tight! Poland is forced to tap and this one is all over!
