Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Martin Jahjah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Baby Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Martin Jahjah! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Baby Jones! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Damien Edna and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jahjah circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jones fails with the takedown. Jahjah shoots and misses and Jones counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Jahjah! Jahjah sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Jahjah is controlling Jones's trapped leg to prevent Jones from advancing to side control. Jones wants to pass the guard but Jahjah is defending well. Jahjah trying to control from the bottom.
Jahjah makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Jahjah. Jones prevents Jahjah from getting back to his feet. Jahjah wants to sweep here but Jones controlling him for the moment. Jahjah is working hard here to advance position. Jahjah controlling Jones's posture. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jahjah pushes Jones off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jahjah stuffs the takedown attempt from Jones. Jones gets slowly back to his feet. Jahjah with a poor takedown and Jones counters by clinching up. Jahjah is working for takedown but Jones is calmly controlling the position for now. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Martin Jahjah. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jahjah is breathing heavily. Jahjah drops down looking for an ankle pick but Jones pulls his leg out and moves away.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones avoids a punch combination nicely.
Jones throws a quick inside leg kick. Jones lands a head kick. Jahjah smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Jahjah has his takedown stuffed and Jones counters with a single leg into guard. Jahjah didn't expect that. Jones is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Jones lands a couple of decent looking shots. Jones sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Jahjah's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones stands up and beckons Jahjah to join him on the feet. Jones instigates a clinch. Jones breaks from the clinch.
Jones shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jahjah's guard. Jones content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Jones works a leg free and moves into half guard. Jones scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Jones wants to free his trapped foot but Jahjah is holding on for dear life with his legs. Jones slips a nice elbow through Jahjah's hands, connecting with Jahjah's forehead. Jones is trying to control the action in half guard but Jahjah is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jahjah is looking to improve his position.
Jahjah is refusing to be controlled, as Jones sits in half guard. Jahjah is trying to maintain the position but Jones is very close to passing his half guard. Jones working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Jones darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Jahjah slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jahjah is looking to sweep but instead, Jones has passed into half guard.

Jahjah doesn't succeed with the takedown and Jones counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Jones moves into full mount! Jahjah won't be happy about that! Jahjah tries to hold on but Jones postures up. Jahjah is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Jahjah is wriggling around trying to escape.
Jones working Jahjah over with strikes here. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jahjah tries to lock up and control but Jones gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Jones dominating with strikes here. Jahjah is trying to escape the mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Jahjah working to try and regain half guard.
Jones has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Jahjah slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Jahjah missing with punches from the bottom.

Jones is nestled in close to Jahjah, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Jahjah gets full guard. Jahjah tries to land a sweep but no joy. Baby Jones has got the better of the ground game so far. Jones passes Jahjah's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Jahjah wants to get back to full guard. Jahjah moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Jahjah lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Jones! Jones is working to get back to half guard.
Jones is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jahjah landing strikes from the mount. Jahjah fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Jahjah scoring with strikes but Jones is staying in there. Jones is looking to improve his position but Jahjah isn't that keen on the idea.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Jahjah cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Jahjah is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Jones can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

A close second round but Baby Jones will probably get the nod - 10:9. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Jones bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Jahjah misses with an elbow from the bottom. Jahjah sneaks back into half guard. Jahjah wants to get back to full guard but Jones has passed into side control. Jones avoids the attempt from Jahjah to control. Jones lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Jahjah hang on? Both fighters are breathing heavily. Jones postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Jahjah looks a forlorn figure.
Jahjah is in a horrible position here. Jones smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Jahjah tries to reverse the position but Jones maintains control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones avoids the attempt from Jahjah to control. Jahjah taking shots to the head. Jahjah slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Jones is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Jones trying to control but Jahjah is working from the bottom. Jahjah bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jones's guard. Jones is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Jahjah passes Jones's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Jahjah lands strikes from half guard. Jones manages to get to full guard.
Jahjah stands and throws Jones's legs to the side, diving into side control. Jahjah trying to control the position but Jones is working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jahjah creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Jones stops Jahjah from passing to mount. Jones is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Jones blocking the ground and pound attempt from Jahjah. Jahjah is just content to waste time from the top position. Jones takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Jones working a defensive guard here.

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Baby Jones. Well Jones has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
