Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Walton Kunz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Potato The Dog!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Michael Johnstone and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Dog misses with a looping left.
Kunz uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by The Dog.
The Dog misses with a double jab
and The Dog takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
The Dog uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kunz.
The Dog is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
The Dog misses with the combination.
The Dog throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kunz.
It looked like Kunz wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
The Dog lands with a cross.
Kunz shoots for a double leg takedown but The Dog sprawls well. He's pushed Kunz's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
The Dog misses the shot to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The Dog ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kunz moves away.

The Dog throws a series of punches but Kunz avoids them all with ease.
Kunz is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from The Dog.
The Dog lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by The Dog.

The Dog takes a body punch but keeps moving.
The Dog dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
The Dog is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Kunz rather than just go for the knockout.
The Dog slaps away a takedown attempt from Kunz, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Kunz ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Kunz feinted with a counter takedown.
The Dog swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Kunz tries to counter by moving into the clinch but The Dog manages to circle out of the way.

The Dog throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

enabling Kunz to counter with a crisp jab.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The Dog ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kunz moves away.
Potato The Dog seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The Dog throws out a loose jab but Kunz uses good head movement to avoid it.
Kunz lands a body shot.
The Dog throws a jab when Kunz was well out of range.
A telegraphed right hand from The Dog misses the target.

Kunz pushes The Dog up against the cage in a clinch.
The Dog scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Kunz misses with a short punch on the inside.
The Dog tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
The Dog can't find room to land a body shot as Kunz controls the action.
The Dog goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Kunz decides to pull guard.
Kunz has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Kunz is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but The Dog frees his head nicely. Oh but Kunz has switched to an armbar! The Dog is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Armbar). Walton Kunz!
