Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Darren Durrant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shawn Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Darren Durrant! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Shawn Jones! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Topper Green and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Durrant as Jones shoots in. Jones shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jones showed some decent athleticism there. Jones throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Durrant doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Jones. Durrant is trying to control but can't.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Durrant does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Jones stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Durrant throws a leg kick which misses Jones's front leg but catches the back leg as Jones tries to avoid it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Durrant but Durrant pushes him off and we're back to square one. Jones looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Durrant! Durrant is trying to control Jones's posture but Jones avoids it. Jones stands up and we're back to a striking position. Jones closes the distance and clinches up with Durrant, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes Durrant against the cage but Durrant circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Jones looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Darren Durrant has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shawn Jones.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Durrant keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Durrant looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit. Jones shoots for a double leg takedown but Durrant sprawls well. He's pushed Jones's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Jones just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromDurrant. Durrant tries to land a front kick but Jones steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Durrant wants to clinch. Durrant displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jones. Durrant lands with a nice combination. Jones backs away looking to recover. This has been an exciting period of action! Jones closes the distance and clinches up with Durrant, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes Durrant against the cage but Durrant circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Jones blocks a head kick by Durrant.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice shot lands for Durrant. Jones fails with the takedown and Durrant counters with a one-two to the body. Jones fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Durrant appears to be looking for a big counter. Jones shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Durrant manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Jones advances position into side control! Jones is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Durrant knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Jones is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Durrant is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Durrant tries to bench press Jones off him but Jones keeps the position. Durrant takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Durrant tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jones wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jones thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Jones trying to control the action but Durrant is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Darren Durrant will probably get the nod. That's time! Durrant's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Durrant misses with a low kick. Jones closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Durrant did well to prevent Jones getting side control. Durrant is defending against the submission attempts here by Jones.
Jones prevents Durrant from improving his position. Jones working over Durrant with some ground and pound. Durrant looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Durrant is not content to let Jones control the position. Jones trying to pass the guard but Durrant defending well.

Jones is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Shawn Jones has got the better of the ground game so far. Jones tries to pass the half guard into mount. Durrant knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Durrant has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jones is working away from the top position though. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Durrant is trying to stand up here but Jones is controlling him well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Jones sitting and controlling from the half guard. Durrant looking for submissions off his back. Jones uses his free foot to push down on Durrant's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Durrant. Jones tries to control but Durrant wriggling away. Jones is working for a guillotine from mount but Durrant frees his head quite easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones working for a submission but Durrant is keeping him at bay. Jones looking to control but Durrant is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Jones wants to control but Durrant has made it back to half guard. Nice work. Jones sitting and controlling from the half guard. Jones is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Jones wants to take a breather but Durrant is having none of it. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Durrant wants to control but Jones is keeping busy and won't allow it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shawn Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Horrible takedown attempt by Jones or perhaps it was just good defense by Durrant, which made it look bad. Durrant misses with a wild combination.
Jones shoots in for a double leg but Durrant sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Jones will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Durrant tries to avoid it but Jones manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Durrant to the ground. Durrant escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Jones closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Durrant to the mat! Durrant manages to get full guard. Jones thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Durrant managing to control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jones takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Jones postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Durrant is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jones drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jones jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Jones advances to half guard. Jones throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Jones is looking for a kimura here.
Durrant wants to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Durrant actively working from the bottom here. Jones is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Jones tries to pass to full mount but Durrant defends it. Jones is looking to take a break and control but Durrant is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Durrant has managed to free his arm - good work. Durrant looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Jones is looking for a kimura but Durrant is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Jones to get the leverage. Jones wants to control but Durrant is keeping him busy. Durrant trying to control from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Durrant wants to control but Jones is keeping busy.
