Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Michinori Date (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aito Lager (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Michinori Date! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Aito Lager! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lager misses with a takedown attempt - Date sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Date has managed to clinch.
Date lands a shoulder strike. Date slowing the pace effectively. Date lands on the inside with an uppercut. Date lands with a right to the head. Date lands a left hand.
A frustrated look appears on Lager's face as he tries to break the clinch. Date leaning against his opponent.
Lager is trying to pull guard but Date turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Date lands a left hand.
Lager takes a shot to the head. Date blocks a body shot from Lager. Lager tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Date's elbow. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lager throws a punch but it's blocked by Date. Date scores with a shot to the side of Lager's head. Date slows down the pace here.

That's one minute gone in the round. Lager is trying to pull guard but Date has him pressed against the cage. Michinori Date has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aito Lager. Date lands a nice uppercut. Date lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Lager or not. Lager tries a body shot but Date blocks it.

Lager shoots in but Date avoids the takedown attempt easily. Date tests Lager's chin there with a solid looking shot. Lager misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Date connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Date has managed to clinch.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A left hand lands to the body for Date.

Lager is rocked! Date's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Date lands an uppercut. Lager is still on wobbly legs! Can Date finish him?

Lager seems to have recovered his senses. Date clinches up against the cage. Lager is trying to break free. Lager tries to throw a body punch but Date avoids it by throwing Lager back against the cage. Date lands with a short head shot on the inside. Date scores with a shot to the side of Lager's head. Lager misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Date pushes Lager back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Date avoids a wild elbow strike from Lager. Date lands with a light punch inside. Lager is trying to break the clinch but Date has him pressed against the cage. Date blocks an uppercut.
Date lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Date lands with a short shot to the head. Lager pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Good body shot from Date.
This has been an exciting period of action! Date lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Date throws a big uppercut that drops Lager! More strikes from Date and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Lager lies dazed against the cage as Date celebrates with his cornermen!
