Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mitchell Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vitaliy Axenchik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mitchell Miller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vitaliy Axenchik!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Axenchik falls off balance throwing a combination
and Miller counters with a left to the body.

Axenchik looking to score a takedown here. Miller is defending well but Axenchik drives through and ends up in Miller's guard.
Axenchik must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Axenchik controls from within his opponent's guard.
Miller throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Axenchik trying to control but Miller is working from the bottom.
Miller is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Axenchik tries to get to full guard but Miller has control of the leg.
Miller takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Miller is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Miller has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Miller not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Axenchik gets full guard.
Miller wants to control from the top but Axenchik keeps moving.
Miller might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Miller is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Axenchik is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Miller is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Axenchik tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Axenchik looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Miller!
Miller is looking for a sweep.

Axenchik has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Axenchik throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Miller was covering up waiting for the punch and Axenchik finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Axenchik throws an elbow that misses. Miller uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Axenchik's guard. Nice move by Miller!

Miller seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Axenchik is trying to keep Miller in close.
Miller is stalling in the full guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Mitchell Miller will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Axenchik manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Miller on his heels. He'll look to pass Miller's guard now, I'm sure.
Miller wants to sweep but no luck.
Axenchik wants to get up but he can't break Miller's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Miller wriggles free and stands up.

Miller is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Axenchik looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Axenchik is trying to work for a kimura but Miller is defending well.

Well, if Axenchik is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Miller is trying to maintain the position but Axenchik is very close to passing his half guard.

Axenchik tries to pass to full mount but Miller defends it.

Miller is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Axenchik's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Axenchik's back!

Miller could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Miller lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Miller.

Miller is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Miller gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Miller gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Miller apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Axenchik avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Vitaliy Axenchik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Axenchik wants to clinch
and Miller counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Axenchik slaps away a takedown attempt from Miller, before circling back to the center of the mat.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Miller tries to close the distance and clinch up but Axenchik swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Miller gets tackled into the cage by Axenchik. Axenchik maintains the clinch.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mitchell Miller will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Axenchik tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Miller was well out of range. Poor timing from Axenchik.

Axenchik has picked Miller up - he's going for a ride! Axenchik dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Miller lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Axenchik is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Miller is aware though and is defending well.

Miller seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Axenchik for as long as he can get away with.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Miller is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
