Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luiz Araujo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ernie Bezoink (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Araujo comes into the arena with Who Shot Ya? blaring out of the sound system. Bezoink has chosen Fuel as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Luiz Araujo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ernie Bezoink!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Araujo gets a takedown into half guard.
Bezoink wants to improve his position but Araujo is controlling well.

Araujo is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Bezoink defends it well.

Araujo is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The fighters are battling for position here. Bezoink manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Araujo passes Bezoink's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Araujo is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bezoink is just riding it out for now. Araujo eventually gives up the hold.
We've been hearing good reports from Araujo's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Bezoink might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Araujo haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Bezoink misses with a two punch combination.
Araujo fires out a quick counter leg kick but Bezoink just manages to avoid it.
Bezoink ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Araujo moves away.
Araujo appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Araujo shoots in and drives through. Bezoink sprawls well.
Despite the aggression on Bezoink's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Araujo fails to land the takedown.
Bezoink lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Bezoink stuffs the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luiz Araujo. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Luiz Araujo is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Araujo is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bezoink is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Araujo drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bezoink manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Araujo has Bezoink in his guard.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Bezoink's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Bezoink is in close to Araujo's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Bezoink lands a couple of digs.
Bezoink with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Bezoink has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Death Valley Training Facility. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Bezoink must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

A close second round but Ernie Bezoink will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Bezoink catches Araujo with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Bezoink throws a quick inside leg kick.
Araujo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bezoink swivels and escapes.
Bezoink will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Araujo shoots in but Bezoink avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Bezoink throws a nice inside leg kick.

Araujo dives in and grabs Bezoink's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bezoink pushes down on Araujo's head and hops out.

Araujo has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Bezoink pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Jab, jab by Bezoink - just one landing.

Araujo moves into the clinch.

Bezoink breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Bezoink throws a one two combo.


Araujo is rocked!
Bezoink connects with a stiff jab that staggers Araujo - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Ernie Bezoink!
During a confident post fight interview, Ernie Bezoink thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
