Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Adalberto Holt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Faf De Kock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Faf De Kock has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Adalberto Holt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Faf De Kock! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Konstantin Menshow and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! De Kock tries a head kick but it misses.
De Kock throws a sloppy head kick and Holt moves out of range easily. De Kock throws a lazy head kick and Holt counters with a shoot takedown. De Kock fights it but they end up in guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Holt accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. De Kock wants to stand but Holt is controlling the position. Holt throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as De Kock works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Holt content to stall in guard here. Holt trying to control but De Kock is working from the bottom. Holt slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. De Kock working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Holt. Holt throws a big elbow that misses. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Holt with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
That's one minute gone in the round. De Kock is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Holt is looking to work some ground and pound but De Kock has wrist control. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Holt accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. De Kock avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Holt trying to control but De Kock is working from the bottom. Holt controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Holt moves into the clinch successfully.

That's two minutes gone in the round. De Kock is trying to push Holt away but Holt has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Holt turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Holt manages to end up in side control. De Kock takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. De Kock wants to control but Holt postures up. Holt cracks De Kock with an elbow. That is naaassty. Holt postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
De Kock struggling a bit here. Holt lands a decent elbow from side control. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! De Kock pushes Holt away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Holt gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Holt wants to lay and pray for a moment but De Kock keeps working. Sloppy strikes there by Holt. De Kock tries to buck Holt off but Holt is having none of it. Holt lands a nice forearm strike.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Holt throws a strike aimed at the side of De Kock's head but De Kock avoids it well. De Kock seems a little lost for a moment, as Holt dominates the positioning. Check out the look on Holt's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

De Kock defending against the ground and pound. Holt grinds an elbow into De Kock's temple. Holt throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Holt lands a few punches from side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Holt throws a strike aimed at the side of De Kock's head but De Kock avoids it well. The strikes coming from Holt are missing the target in this wave of attacks. De Kock is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Holt fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Holt working the ground and pound but De Kock is defending the strikes. Holt wants to lay and pray for a moment but De Kock keeps working. De Kock managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Holt.
Holt working the strikes but De Kock uses the opportunity to regain half guard. De Kock avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Holt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Adalberto Holt dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
De Kock throws a head kick but Holt moves out of range.
De Kock tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Whack! De Kock lands a heavy head kick that drops Holt. The ref tackles De Kock to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Holt was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:14 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Faf De Kock!
