Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Leo Souza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jackie Chan!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yuuki Gou and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Souza is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Chan's half guard.

Chan pushes Souza off and gets back to his feet.

Chan gets tackled into the cage by Souza. Souza maintains the clinch.

Souza jumps guard and drags Chan to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Souza keeping moving, preventing Chan from controlling successfully.
Chan loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Souza has control of Chan's left arm, preventing Chan from doing any damage.
Chan wants to control from the top but Souza keeps moving.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Souza working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Chan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Chan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Souza can't keep his opponent in guard - Chan advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Chan with the ground and pound but Souza uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Souza wants to sweep here but Chan controlling him for the moment.
Chan wants to control from the top but Souza keeps moving.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Chan is working Souza over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Souza wants to stand but Chan is controlling the position.
Chan should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Chan postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Souza keeping moving, preventing Chan from controlling successfully.
Chan looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Chan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Souza is breathing heavily.
Souza moves forwards but Chan connects with a nice, crisp jab.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Souza walks into a straight right hand from Chan.
Chan scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Chan connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.


Souza is rocked!
Chan connects with a stiff jab that staggers Souza - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jackie Chan!
