Puch kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Breathe. Akulenko has chosen Cowboys From Hell as his entrance music. Robledo Puch could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Eugeniy Akulenko's chin.

With a record of 26 - 16 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Eugeniy Akulenko!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Andrew Berry and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Puch moves away from the strike by Akulenko.

Akulenko clinches with his opponent.
Akulenko unloads a knee to the mid-section.

Akulenko pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Akulenko ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Puch moves away.
Akulenko doesn't manage to clinch there - Puch circles away.
Puch appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

Akulenko rushes Puch and presses him up against the cage.

Akulenko's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
An inside leg kick lands from Akulenko.
Akulenko slips under a jab from Puch.
Akulenko swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Puch lands with a right hand.
Akulenko tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Puch paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Puch scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Akulenko bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
This has been an exciting period of action!
A decent looking cross lands there for Akulenko.
Puch digs a good hook to Akulenko's body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Akulenko fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Puch checks it well.
Puch feinted with a counter takedown.
Akulenko works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Puch throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Akulenko's waist but Akulenko gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Puch off to one side.
Akulenko slips a jab from Puch.
Puch staying out of range there.
Akulenko lands with a cross.
Puch has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Akulenko looks to land a right hand but Puch moved out of range.
Akulenko has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
A slow jab from Puch misses its intended target.
Puch jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Puch swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Akulenko needs to keep his hands up - Puch had a free shot at his head there.
Puch throws a hook but Akulenko blocks it.
Akulenko tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Puch paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Puch throws a hook but Akulenko blocks it.
Akulenko thuds his right hand into Puch's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Eugeniy Akulenko is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Akulenko tries to close the distance and clinch up but Puch swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Puch drops down looking for a counter takedown but Akulenko sprawls and moves away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Akulenko doesn't manage to clinch there - Puch circles away.
Akulenko slips under a jab from Puch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A punch lands to the side of Puch 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Akulenko lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Puch scores with a nice head shot.
Puch's jab looks to have found its range, popping Akulenko under the eye.


Akulenko is rocked!
Akulenko ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Puch moves away.
Puch feinted with a counter takedown.
Akulenko is still on wobbly legs! Can Puch finish him?
Puch cracks Akulenko on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Akulenko falls backwards against the cage. Puch follows up with more strikes that drop Akulenko to his knees. Puch keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Akulenko! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Robledo Puch!
Robledo Puch really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Hellbent logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
