Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Albert Achterberg and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Savage fails with the takedown.
Strooijer drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Strooijer wants to pass the guard but Savage is keeping the position.
Strooijer trying to stand up but can't free himself from Savage's guard.
Savage working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Strooijer doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Strooijer manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Savage is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Strooijer wants to get back to full guard.

Strooijer is looking for a sweep. Savage is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Savage could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Savage's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Strooijer is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Strooijer trying to hold on to Savage's head to control him but Savage postures up.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Strooijer manages to get to full guard.
Strooijer isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Savage stacks Strooijer on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Savage!
Strooijer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Savage. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Savage tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Savage has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The strikes coming from Savage are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Savage has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Strooijer is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Savage fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Strooijer is out of range.
Savage shoots for a double leg takedown but Strooijer sprawls well. He's pushed Savage's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Strooijer shoots in and bounces Savage off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Strooijer wants to stand but Savage has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Strooijer pushes down on Savage's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Savage is refusing to be controlled, as Strooijer sits in half guard.

Strooijer wants to take a breather but Savage is having none of it.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Savage is on top in guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

That was a close second round but I would say that Vince Savage will probably get the nod.
That's time! Savage's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!

Strooijer tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Savage manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Savage, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
