Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Grant King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Deair Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Grant King! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Deair Shaw! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Winston Alpacca and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! King closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. You can see the frustration on Shaw's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. King working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Shaw wants to control but King postures up. King is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Shaw knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. King tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shaw tries to get back to half guard but can't. Shaw trying to remain calm as King controls from the top position. Shaw is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked King off and has taken his back! King knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Shaw on the ground. King rolls, trying to escape but Shaw keeps control of the position.
King turns into Shaw and is now in his guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shaw is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. King has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Shaw bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in King's guard. Shaw being controlled here momentarily. King keeping moving, preventing Shaw from controlling successfully. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. King controlling Shaw's posture.
That's three minutes gone in the round. King has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. King wants to sweep but no luck.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Shaw being controlled here momentarily. King has a closed guard, preventing Shaw from standing up.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! King gets a double leg takedown into Shaw's guard. Shaw is trying to keep King in close.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Grant King will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Shaw keeps the fight on the outside. King drives through with a takedown into guard. Shaw lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
King will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Shaw is fighting to break King's control of his arms but King is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. King is striking but Shaw is not phased and passes to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. King trying to get back to full guard but Shaw takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shaw tries to control but King wriggling away. Deair Shaw has got the better of the ground game so far.

Shaw can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as King is looking to escape. King on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if King tries to get out of the position. King has given up his back here.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Shaw's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

That's two minutes gone in the round. King is trying to stand back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shaw keeps control of the position as King tries to break free.

Even with his hooks in, Shaw manages to miss with strikes from the back. Shaw has the hooks in. King is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Shaw has been the more effective fighter overall so far. King is working hard here to advance position. Deair Shaw showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

King got a little sloppy there for a moment and Shaw has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, King has managed to get both his arms back between Shaw's legs - danger averted. Shaw wants to stand and escape but King is having none of it. King engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shaw takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. King tries to clinch but Shaw is having none of it. King misses with a head kick.
Shaw looks for a takedown but King sprawls well. Shaw throws a hook but King blocks it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. King tries to clinch up. King fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Shaw checks it well. Shaw blocks the body kick.
Shaw throws a body kick that misses. King closes the distance looking to clinch and Shaw counters with a left and a right that stings King. King shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than King was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! King is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Shaw is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! King remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
And that's the end of the fight! Grant King showed his dominance in that final round. I think King has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
