The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith throws a sloppy head kick and Franco moves out of range easily.
Smith tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Franco paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Smith drives through and clinches with Franco against the cage.
Smith is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Franco tries to pull guard but Smith holds him up against the cage and eventually Franco drops back down to his feet.
Smith breaks from the clinch.
Franco tries to keep at a distance but Smith has taken the fight into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smith escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Oooooh!!! Smith has knocked Franco down with a huge combo! Smith steps away and waves a wobbly Franco back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
