Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nikolajs Ognjen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Down Out (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nikolajs Ognjen has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nikolajs Ognjen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Down Out! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ognjen throws a lazy right hand but Out sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Ognjen sets himself, and Out steps forward looking for the clinch! Ognjen avoids it this time. Ognjen throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Out sees it coming and avoids it easily. Ognjen misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Out.
Out drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Ognjen defends it well. Ognjen has been working on his boxing with his coaches at MMA tranning center /w 160nutrition in the buildup to the fight. Nikolajs Ognjen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Out takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Ognjen misses with a low kick. A swing and a miss from Ognjen. Out changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Ognjen throws a leg kick that is checked and Out counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Out not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Out distracts Ognjen with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Out has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's one minute gone in the round. Out throws a big right hand that misses. Out scoring with punches to the head and body. Out looking to sit in guard and control but Ognjen gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Out is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Ognjen being controlled here momentarily. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Out can do anything to dispel that myth. Ognjen stopping the sweep attempt from Out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Out is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Out wants to sweep here but Ognjen controlling him for the moment. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Out has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Ognjen has passed into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Out tries to bench press Ognjen off him but Ognjen keeps the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ognjen wants to stand but Out has his arm trapped. Out tries to improve position but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Ognjen swings widly with a right hand
and Out counters with a shoot takedown. Ognjen fights it but they end up in guard. Out lands a couple of elbows. Out lands a couple of elbows. Out with a nice head shot there. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Out's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Ognjen is breathing heavily. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Out with a flurry of punches that miss. Out throwing strikes but missing. Out chips away with some ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Down Out dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Out slips a jab from Ognjen. Out is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Ognjen throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Out tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Out displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ognjen throws out the jab. Out with the counter takedown but Ognjen avoids it easily. Out takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Ognjen tests Out's chin there with a solid looking shot. Ognjen looks to score with a jab to the body but Out is just out of range. Out feints the counter takedown. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ognjen misses with a left hand and Out counters with a nice double leg into guard. Out wants to control from the top but Ognjen keeps moving. Out lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Out looking to sit in guard and control but Ognjen gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Out looking for a sweep. Not yet Out, not yet. Out thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Out tries to land a sweep but no joy. Out pulls Ognjen in close to his closed guard and prevents Ognjen from doing any damage or advancing position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Out looking to sweep here. No luck so far. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Out is on top in guard.
Out throwing strikes but missing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Out trying to control the position from guard on top but Ognjen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Out throws a big right hand that misses. Out looking to pass the guard. Ognjen avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Out content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Ognjen keeping moving, preventing Out from controlling successfully. Out with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Out postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Out has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Out throws a big right hand that misses. Out lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Out works over Ognjen with some ground and pound from guard.
Ognjen is rocked! Out stands up over Ognjen, holding on to his feet. Out throws the legs to one side and dives in with a huge shot that lands flush on the chin! Ognjen is out cold! Out lands a couple more shots and the ref tackles him out of the way! What a brutal finish!
