Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alexandr Mohlarenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kai Hiwatari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alexandr Mohlarenko looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kai Hiwatari! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hiwatari moves into range and clinches up with Mohlarenko. Hiwatari stalling.
Mohlarenko definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. A right hook to the body lands for Hiwatari.
Hiwatari jumps into guard, dragging Mohlarenko to the mat.
Mohlarenko wants to control from the top but Hiwatari keeps moving. Hiwatari is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Hiwatari keeping full guard, as Mohlarenko tries to pass. Mohlarenko is breathing heavily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mohlarenko postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Hiwatari is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! Hiwatari stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mohlarenko swivels though and keeps the full guard. Hiwatari is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Let's hope that Hiwatari has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mohlarenko. Hiwatari tries to clinch up so Mohlarenko counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Hiwatari is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Mohlarenko looking to sit in guard and control but Hiwatari gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Hiwatari wants to control from the top but Mohlarenko keeps moving. Mohlarenko wants to stand up but Hiwatari is controlling him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hiwatari tries to stand but Mohlarenko is controlling from the bottom. Mohlarenko has Hiwatari pulled in close to control his posture. Hiwatari trying to control the position from guard on top but Mohlarenko is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hiwatari must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Hiwatari stands and throws Mohlarenko's legs to the side, diving into side control. Mohlarenko can't do much from the bottom here. Hiwatari working the ground and pound. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kai Hiwatari dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Mohlarenko gets tackled into the cage by Hiwatari. Hiwatari maintains the clinch. Hiwatari is defending well against a takedown attempt. Hiwatari tries to score a body lock takedown but Mohlarenko shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Hiwatari tries to pull guard but Mohlarenko won't allow it.

Mohlarenko drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hiwatari manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Mohlarenko has Hiwatari in his guard. It's preventing any offense from Hiwatari, at least for the moment. Hiwatari stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mohlarenko swivels though and keeps the full guard. Mohlarenko looking for a sweep. Not yet Mohlarenko, not yet. Hiwatari prevents Mohlarenko from getting back to his feet. Hiwatari slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Hiwatari wants to control from the top but Mohlarenko keeps moving. Mohlarenko trying to control the position.
Hiwatari with a nice head shot there. Hiwatari gets to his feet. Mohlarenko looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Hiwatari misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Alexandr Mohlarenko is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hiwatari shoots in but no luck this time. Mohlarenko feinted with a counter takedown. Alexandr Mohlarenko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kai Hiwatari. Hiwatari has closed the distance and engaged Mohlarenko in a clinch.
Hiwatari has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Hiwatari can't break the clinch.
Hiwatari changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Mohlarenko fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mohlarenko drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hiwatari is looking for a sweep. Hiwatari is letting Mohlarenko control him for a moment. Mohlarenko is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hiwatari has escaped the position, nice work there. Mohlarenko looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mohlarenko goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Hiwatari rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Mohlarenko's guard! Nice work there by Hiwatari! Mohlarenko is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Kai Hiwatari showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Hiwatari shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mohlarenko as he jumps to the side. Hiwatari clinches up with Mohlarenko and pushes him back against the cage. Hiwatari is trying to stall.
Mohlarenko has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hiwatari is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hiwatari drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Mohlarenko is looking to control Hiwatari's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Mohlarenko avoid being mounted? Mohlarenko tries to kick Hiwatari off but Hiwatari keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Hiwatari is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Mohlarenko doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hiwatari. Mohlarenko wants to get back to his feet.

Alexandr Mohlarenko has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Mohlarenko keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Mohlarenko is trying to stand.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Hiwatari shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Hiwatari was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
And that's the end of the fight! Kai Hiwatari comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Hiwatari has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
