The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mayhew tries to close the distance and clinch up but Anderson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
An attempted straight right counter from Anderson misses the target.
Anderson dives in and grabs Mayhew's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mayhew pushes down on Anderson's head and hops out.
Mayhew swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Mayhew scores with a crisp jab that stopped Anderson in his tracks.
Mayhew goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Anderson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Mayhew to the mat! Mayhew manages to get full guard.
Anderson tries to free his leg and advance position but Mayhew is retaining full guard.

Mayhew is trying to control Anderson's posture but Anderson avoids it.

Anderson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Anderson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
