The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Goodman looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Bannett tries to roll over but Goodman keeps him under control.

Goodman is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Bannett wants to control but Goodman is keeping busy.
Goodman prevents Bannett from improving his position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Goodman throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Goodman is thwarting Bannett's attempts to control the position.
Bannett scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Goodman manages to mount him!
Goodman lands a couple of good shots and Bannett has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Goodman has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Goodman has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Bannett! Can he survive? No! He's out! Goodman gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
