PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Max Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steven Frost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frost has chosen Hits from the bong - Cypress Hill as his entrance music. Max Wallace had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Steven Frost!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Andrew Berry and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wallace clinches with his opponent.
Frost scores with a shoulder strike.
Wallace managing to block the knees to the body from Frost.
Wallace working Frost over with knees to the body.
Wallace tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Wallace lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Frost or not.
Wallace misses with an elbow strike.
Wallace landing knees to the body.

Wallace has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Frost regains guard immediately.

Frost has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Wallace has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Wallace digs a right hand into Frost's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Frost's gas tank.
Frost blocks the elbow strike.
Wallace working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Frost dodges an elbow strike from Wallace.
Frost scores with a shoulder strike.


It looks like Max Wallace has been cut.
Wallace throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Frost can't find room to land a body shot as Wallace controls the action.
Frost working hard to break the clinch.
Frost scores with a hook to the body.

Wallace gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Frost controlling the position for now.

Frost is looking to improve his position.
Frost is trying to maintain the position but Wallace is very close to passing his half guard.

Wallace stops Frost from getting back to his feet.

Wallace thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Frost's head.

Wallace is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Frost moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Frost bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Wallace's guard.

Frost throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Frost connects with a couple of short punches.
Wallace is breathing heavily.
Wallace keeping moving, preventing Frost from controlling successfully.

Frost distracts Wallace with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Wallace is working an open guard so Frost takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Wallace closes the distance looking to clinch
and Frost counters with a left and a right that stings Wallace.
Wallace tries to clinch but Frost moves out of range.
Jab by Frost.

Wallace moves into range and clinches up with Frost.
Wallace throws an elbow but it misses.
Frost is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Wallace misses with a hook to the ribs.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Wallace throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Frost is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Wallace tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Frost smiles and moves away.
Frost sizes up Wallace with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Steven Frost seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Frost scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Frost throws a low kick but Wallace avoids it.
Frost scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Frost dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Steven Frost dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Max Wallace's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Wallace moves to clinch but Frost breaks away
and Frost counters with a series of strikes that really hurt Wallace! The ref looks into his eyes and sees nobody home - he's called the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Steven Frost!
In his post fight interview, Steven Frost gave a big smile as he said 'Get this clown outta here. Wanna fight me? Better get set for REEEAL S#*T. I ain't playing games. '.
