Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hugues De Payens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Howard Stern (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). De Payens comes to the cage accompanied by Rage against the machine - Bombtrack. Stern is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Great American Nightmare. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
34 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hugues De Payens! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Howard Stern! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Russell Pearce and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stern rushes De Payens and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. De Payens gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. De Payens drops an elbow to the side of Stern's head. Stern is defending against the submission attempts here by De Payens.
Stern tries to get to full guard but De Payens has control of the leg. Stern slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Stern is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. De Payens trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. De Payens landing with the ground and pound. De Payens postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Stern seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Stern can't keep his opponent in guard - De Payens advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. De Payens looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Stern with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Stern is pressing down on De Payens's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Stern is trying to control the position but De Payens postures up. Stern looking to hit a scissor sweep but De Payens is one step ahead there. Stern working a defensive guard here.

De Payens is looking for a kimura but Stern is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for De Payens to get the leverage. Stern avoiding damage under a succession of punches from De Payens. Stern moves into full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Stern is not content to let De Payens control the position. De Payens stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Stern to get to his feet. Howard Stern seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stern misses with a body shot.
Stern misses with a leg kick. Stern rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but De Payens moves out of range and avoids them all easily. De Payens fails to land with a series of punches.

Stern throws a body shot but no joy. A jab lands there for Stern. De Payens ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. De Payens tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Stern closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into De Payens's guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Stern seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as De Payens holds on and takes a little breather. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hugues De Payens dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Stern connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between De Payens's hands. De Payens needs to keep his hands up - Stern had a free shot at his head there. Stern tries to score a power double leg takedown but De Payens sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Stern somewhat. It looked like De Payens wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. A solid leg kick lands there for De Payens.
Stern sizes up De Payens with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Nice cross by Stern. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stern jabbing away but nothing is landing. Stern throws an uppercut from half a mile away. De Payens sees it coming and avoids it easily. De Payens is looking to counter punch. De Payens attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Stern stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Stern jabs De Payens right on the nose. De Payens blinks but takes it well. Stern misses with an uppercut. Hugues De Payens is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Stern throws a head kick that misses. Stern has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight. Stern blocks a low kick nicely. It seemed like Stern was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Stern throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Stern throws a chopping leg kick but De Payens manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Stern shoots in but no luck this time. Stern feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Stern biding his time, controlling De Payens. De Payens wants to control his opponent's hands but Stern gets his hands free. Stern struggling to keep hold of the position.
Well, with Stern on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before De Payens is tapping out... Can he escape the position? Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! De Payens trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. De Payens is trying to break free.

And that's the end of the fight! Howard Stern comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Stern has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Howard Stern! A very excited looking Howard Stern made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction. Hugues De Payens spoke after the fight, saying 'Not only do you not understand my divine purpose, you judge me and cast stones. I will return, the time of judgement is upon your self, you are gods , wake up and realize you are the suffering you create, you are the love, we are one!'.
