Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dexter Santaros! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Richard Villars! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Anthony Taglia and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Villars has closed the distance and engaged Santaros in a clinch.
Santaros avoids the elbow strike from Villars, against the cage.

Santaros pulls guard. Villars throws a big right hand that misses. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Santaros working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Villars doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Villars manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Villars trying to control the position from guard on top but Santaros is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Villars throwing strikes from guard but Santaros blocks nicely. Santaros throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Villars is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Villars postures up in Santaros's guard and throws a big left but Santaros blocks it.
That's one minute gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Villars accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Villars lands a couple of decent looking shots. Villars postures up.

Villars stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Santaros throws up his legs and catches Villars in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Villars tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Santaros! That came out of nowhere!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Dexter Santaros! An out of breath and clearly excited Dexter Santaros thanked Perkele! for their help and support (and free stuff they sent him). Richard Villars spoke after the fight, saying 'It's to late now to say sorry?'.
