Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Karl Lynn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jensen Reaves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Karl Lynn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jensen Reaves! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Hugh Johnson and Ben Watson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reaves clinches with his opponent.
Lynn tries to pull guard but Reaves won't allow it.
Reaves stalls. Reaves taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Lynn tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Reaves just stands there and leans against the cage. Lynn wants a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Karl Lynn. That's going to take a lot out of him. Reaves gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Reaves is looking to pass into half guard but Lynn pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Lynn is in guard. Lynn is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Lynn stops Reaves from standing up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Reaves looking for a sweep. Not yet Reaves, not yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lynn passes into half guard under a barage of strikes. The fighters are battling for position here. Reaves manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Lynn postures up.
Reaves looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Lynn puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Lynn is working for a kimura but Reaves is defending it quite comfortably.
Reaves is looking to escape. Lynn could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Reaves connecting with a few gentle strikes. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Reaves can do anything to dispel that myth. Reaves tries to get to full guard but Lynn has control of the leg. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Reaves keeps trying to improve his position. Lynn working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lynn is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Reaves doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Lynn. Reaves wants to control but Lynn passes into side.
Lynn landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Lynn wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Reaves, who protects the arm well. Lynn cracks Reaves with a big elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Reaves wants to get back to his feet. Reaves struggling a bit here. Lynn scores with a couple of short elbows. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Reaves takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Reaves is trying to control Lynn's posture but Lynn avoids it. Lynn has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Lynn prevents Reaves from escaping the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Karl Lynn dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Reaves closes the distance and pushes Lynn back into the cage. Reaves manages to break the clinch.
Lynn throws a shot from downtown. Reaves moves away and avoids it. Reaves throws a head kick but Lynn moves out of range.
Reaves closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Lynn quickly recovers to half guard. Reaves is just content to waste time from the top position. Lynn takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Reaves has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Lynn is proving hard to escape from. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Lynn holds on and takes a little breather. That's one minute gone in the round. Reaves with a flurry of punches that miss. Reaves would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Lynn is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Reaves can do to turn this around? Reaves is standing up over Lynn. Lynn looks to escape but Reaves dives into side control.
Lynn manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lynn is controlling Reaves's trapped leg to prevent Reaves from advancing to side control. Lynn blocking the ground and pound attempt from Reaves.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Lynn regains full guard. Nicely done. Lynn keeping moving, preventing Reaves from controlling successfully. Lynn controlling Reaves's posture. Reaves engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Reaves closes the distance and clinches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lynn jumps guard but Reaves turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Lynn jumps guard.
Reaves wants to control from the top but Lynn keeps moving. Reaves looking to sit in guard and control but Lynn gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Lynn is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Reaves looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Reaves wants to get back to his feet but Lynn passes into half guard.
Reaves really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lynn. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Lynn slips a nice elbow through Reaves's hands, connecting with Reaves's forehead. Lynn is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Reaves is trying to control but Lynn manages to pass to mount!
Lynn scoring with strikes but Reaves is staying in there. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Lynn in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Karl Lynn dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Reaves forces Lynn back against the cage and clinches. Lynn wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Reaves has him pressed against the cage. Lynn breaks from the clinch.
Reaves shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Lynn is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Reaves presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Reaves breaks the clinch.
Reaves uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Lynn. Reaves slips under a jab from Lynn. Lynn is looking to clinch. Reaves swats away the attempt to clinch by Lynn.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reaves looking to score a takedown here. Lynn is defending well but Reaves drives through and ends up in Lynn's guard. Reaves postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Reaves trying to control the position from guard on top but Lynn is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Lynn wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Reaves postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Lynn is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Reaves, into his guard.
Reaves takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Lynn drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Lynn seems to have locked his on tight now - Reaves screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Lynn, as he picks up the win!
