PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Doruk Enis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Amr Al As (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Enis comes into the arena with Twenty One Pilots - Stressed Out (Tomsize Remix) blaring out of the sound system. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Enis misses with a takedown attempt - Al As sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Al As feints a counter leg kick.
Al As lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Al As avoids a kick to the body.
Al As throws a chopping leg kick but Enis manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Enis will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Al As was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.

Enis shoots in for a takedown but Al As shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Enis tries to land a leg kick but Al As saw it coming and moves away.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Al As throws a low kick but Enis avoids it.
As Al As looks to move away, Enis throws a big counter combo but Al As just gets out of the way.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Al As accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Enis had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Al As defends it easily.
Al As trying to control the position from guard on top but Enis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Enis throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Enis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Enis is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Enis is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Al As defends well.
Enis seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Al As with a flurry of punches that miss.
Al As postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Enis shoots in looking for a takedown. Al As tries to sprawl out of it but Enis keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Al As manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
