The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McColgan misses with a hook.
McColgan looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Marailov throws a looping overhand right but McColgan ducks down to avoid it.
McColgan scores with a body shot.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from McColgan, right into the meat.
McColgan with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Marailov to score with a decent uppercut.
McColgan throws a quick inside leg kick.
McColgan takes a swing at Marailov's ribcage but misses.
McColgan slips a jab and a cross from Marailov.
Rocky McColgan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Marailov misses with a few strikes there.
Marailov has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
McColgan avoids a punch combination nicely.
McColgan throws a hook to the side of Marailov's head but Marailov sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Marailov fails to land with a series of punches.
McColgan throws a low kick but it's checked well by Marailov.
Marailov rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but McColgan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Marailov misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
McColgan stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
It looks like Gustav Marailov has been cut.
Marailov is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Marailov feints a jab promting McColgan to slip. Marailov then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. McColgan slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

McColgan throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Marailov lands a straight punch to the body, keeping McColgan at a distance.
McColgan throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Marailov sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Marailov scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
McColgan uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Marailov.

McColgan lands with a straight right. Marailov didn't see that one coming.

Marailov takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Good leg kick by McColgan there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Marailov is on the wrong end of a nice combination from McColgan.

Marailov steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from McColgan. That one must have hurt.

A looping hook to the body misses from McColgan. Marailov does a little dance to reset his feet.
McColgan looks to throw the jab but Marailov is out of range.
McColgan moves away from the strike by Marailov.
Marailov lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Marailov throws a right and a left that McColgan avoids nicely.
McColgan throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
McColgan smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
McColgan lands with a straight right. Marailov didn't see that one coming.
Marailov has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from McColgan.
McColgan finds Marailov's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Marailov flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. McColgan lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Marailov will be OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Rocky McColgan!
A very excited looking Rocky McColgan made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
