The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez throws a lazy right hand but Anthony sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Anthony tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Alvarez paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Alvarez bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Anthony dives in and grabs Alvarez's left leg, looking for a takedown. Alvarez pushes down on Anthony 's head and hops out.

Alvarez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Anthony swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Alvarez looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Alvarez has hold of Anthony 's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Anthony tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Alvarez cranks the arm and Anthony screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Anthony , who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
