Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Joey Singleterry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arron Kruno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joey Singleterry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Arron Kruno!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Alyssa Summers and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kruno moves out of range as Singleterry throws a body kick.
Singleterry shoots in looking for a takedown but Kruno manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Singleterry's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Singleterry takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Singleterry rushes Kruno and presses him up against the cage.

Singleterry's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Kruno throws a shot from downtown. Singleterry moves away and avoids it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Singleterry throws a head kick but Kruno moves out of range.
It seemed like Kruno was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Kruno misses with the combination.
Kruno lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Kruno.

Singleterry drives through and clinches with Kruno against the cage.
Singleterry jumps guard but Kruno stands there with Singleterry around his waist. Singleterry gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Kruno wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Singleterry tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kruno just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joey Singleterry. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Singleterry breaks the clinch.
Singleterry slips a straight right by Kruno.
Kruno smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.


It looks like Joey Singleterry has been cut.

Singleterry instigates a clinch.

Singleterry looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Kruno must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Singleterry trying to keep a closed guard but Kruno is proving a slippery customer.
Kruno stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Singleterry swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Singleterry is trying to keep Kruno in close.
Singleterry wants to stand but Kruno is controlling the position.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Singleterry holds on and takes a little breather.
Kruno looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Singleterry is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Singleterry breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Singleterry clinches up against the cage.
Singleterry misses with a hook from the clinch.
Singleterry looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

A combination from Kruno does no damage.
Singleterry is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Kruno.
Singleterry could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Singleterry tries to clinch there but Kruno circles away.
Kruno fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Kruno gets tackled into the cage by Singleterry. Singleterry maintains the clinch.
The referee is keeping an eye on Singleterry - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Singleterry lands a nice uppercut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Singleterry creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Singleterry pulls Kruno into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Joey Singleterry will probably get the nod.

That's time! Singleterry's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Kruno misses with the combination.
Singleterry seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Kruno lands a right hook to the body.
Singleterry doesn't manage to clinch there - Kruno circles away.
Kruno keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Kruno swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

Singleterry drives through and clinches with Kruno against the cage.

Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Singleterry.

Arron Kruno is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Singleterry closes the distance but Kruno moves to the side
enabling Kruno to counter with a crisp jab.
Joey Singleterry seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kruno is pawing at Singleterry, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Singleterry's nose. Singleterry is badly hurt! Kruno pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Singleterry tries desperately to hold on but Kruno is relentless in his assault! As Singleterry receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Kruno away and this one is in the books!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Arron Kruno!
