Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mickey Finn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oskar Fillin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Finn comes to the cage accompanied by Von Bondies - C'mon c'mon. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 46 - 29 - 2, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mickey Finn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Oskar Fillin!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Emerson Jorge and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Finn bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Finn swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Fillin.

Finn looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Finn is taking a breather. Fillin says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Fillin is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Fillin manages to get to full guard.
Finn scoring with some ground and pound.
Finn not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Finn throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Fillin works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Finn controls from within his opponent's guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Finn accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Finn looking to pass the guard.
Finn works over Fillin with some ground and pound from guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Finn passes Fillin's left leg - he's now in half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Finn connects with a nice short shot to Fillin's temple.
Fillin wants to improve his position but Finn is controlling well.

Finn drops an elbow to the side of Fillin's head.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Finn lands a nice short elbow.
Fillin is looking to improve his position.
Finn lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Finn scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Fillin looking for submissions off his back.
Fillin wants to get back to full guard.

Finn throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Finn perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Fillin avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Finn.
Fillin on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Well, if Finn is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Fillin is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Finn pulls his head out easily.
Finn takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Fillin manages to get to full guard.
Finn seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Fillin looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Fillin gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Finn to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Fillin has momentary wrist control but Finn slips an elbow through the middle.
Finn engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Fillin trying to keep a closed guard but Finn is proving a slippery customer.
Finn is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Fillin can do to turn this around?
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Our spies down at at Cozad MMA Rio inform us that Fillin has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Fillin takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Finn throws a shot to the body.

Finn closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Fillin quickly recovers to half guard.
Fillin has hold of Finn's hands but Finn slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Finn looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Finn content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Fillin is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Finn scores with a couple of nice shots.
Fillin on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Finn has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Finn winds up and cracks Fillin with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Finn scores with a big shot! Fillin's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Fillin! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mickey Finn!
Mickey Finn seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
