Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lyle Fretwell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Leonid Panteleev!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Phil Schofield and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Panteleev comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Panteleev connects with a body shot.
Panteleev cracks Fretwell with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Panteleev gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Fretwell avoids the body shot from Panteleev.
Fretwell throws a chopping leg kick but Panteleev manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Panteleev swings for the body but Fretwell moves out of range.
Fretwell looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Fretwell throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Fretwell uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Panteleev.
Fretwell delivers a nice body kick.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Fretwell is defended easily by Panteleev.

Fretwell has Panteleev up against the cage in a clinch.
Fretwell throws a knee to the head but misses.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fretwell misses with a body punch.

Fretwell breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Fretwell closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Fretwell manages to break the clinch.
Nice defenses there by Fretwell.
Leonid Panteleev is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Panteleev throws a chopping leg kick but Fretwell manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Fretwell steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Panteleev.
Panteleev uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Fretwell.
Fretwell swinging wildly here.
It seemed like Panteleev was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Fretwell scores with a one two! Panteleev had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Panteleev is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Fretwell rather than just go for the knockout.

Fretwell closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Panteleev's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Panteleev wants to get back to his feet but Fretwell is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Panteleev keeping full guard, as Fretwell tries to pass.
Fretwell with a flurry of punches that miss.
Fretwell is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Fretwell postures up in Panteleev's guard and throws a big left but Panteleev blocks it.
Panteleev looking to hit a scissor sweep but Fretwell is one step ahead there.
Panteleev keeps trying to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Panteleev is looking to stand up but Fretwell isn't so interested in that idea.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Panteleev attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Fretwell ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Panteleev moves away.
Fretwell lands with a nice body punch.
Panteleev on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Panteleev stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Panteleev wants it to stay on the feet.
Panteleev rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Fretwell counters with a combination of strikes to the head and body that crumple Panteleev!


Panteleev is rocked!
Panteleev has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.
Fretwell works his way into full mount!
Panteleev is still in real trouble! Can Fretwell finish him?
A big strike lands for Fretwell! That's really hurt Panteleev and he's turned his back - Fretwell keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Fretwell jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lyle Fretwell!
A relieved looking Lyle Fretwell thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
