Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jules York! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kurosakyz Celino! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Joseph Jones and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Celino scores with a takedown into York's guard. York not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
York is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Celino postures up and lands a big shot to York's brow. Celino got a little sloppy there for a moment and York has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Celino has managed to get both his arms back between York's legs - danger averted. York looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. York has his foot on Celino's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Celino works his way back into a safe position though. Celino trying to control the position from guard on top but York is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. York scores with a short punch from the bottom. Celino trying to control but York is working from the bottom. York isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Celino stacks York on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Celino! York is trying to get back to half guard. York gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Still in half guard, Celino seems content to control. York is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Celino wants to lay and pray for a moment but York keeps working. York gets back to full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Celino has gone for a leg lock! York slips out almost immediately though and dives into Celino's guard.
York gets to his feet - Celino follows without any prompting. Celino looks winded! York is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Celino's half guard. York stands up and beckons Celino to join him on the feet. Celino gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. York stands up from Celino's guard - York perhaps looking for a knockout. York tries to keep at a distance but Celino has taken the fight into the clinch. Celino tries for a takedown but York manages to get underhooks.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. York wants to break free but Celino has control.

Celino shoots in for a takedown but York shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. York closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. York controlling the action here. Celino is breathing heavily. Celino is defending against the submission attempts here by York.
That's one minute gone in the round. York prevents Celino from improving his position. York decides to return to a standing position. Celino gets in close and instigates a clinch. Celino pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Kurosakyz Celino seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. York decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Celino pushes York off but York dives into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. York landing strikes. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Celino can do anything to dispel that myth. York controlling the position. York will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. York scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Celino to see if he's OK. York scores with punches from side control. York controlling the position from side mount. York postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

That's three minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Celino's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. York decides to take the fight back to the feet. York really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Celino swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

That's four minutes gone in the round. York pushes a forearm under Celino's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Celino is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
