Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marek Koltun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aulis Tyrmaaja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aulis Tyrmaaja has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Marek Koltun! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aulis Tyrmaaja! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Valeri Chadov and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tyrmaaja uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Koltun. Koltun stuns Tyrmaaja with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Aulis Tyrmaaja seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tyrmaaja shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Koltun pinned against the cage. Koltun gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Koltun cracks the inside of Tyrmaaja's front leg. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A solid leg kick lands there for Koltun.
Tyrmaaja gets the takedown into side control. Koltun stops Tyrmaaja from passing to mount. Tyrmaaja working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
That's one minute gone in the round. Koltun can't do much from the bottom here. Tyrmaaja fails to land a wild elbow strike.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Koltun is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Tyrmaaja off and has taken his back! I really don't envy Tyrmaaja right now.
Koltun is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Koltun gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Koltun gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Koltun apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Horrible takedown attempt by Tyrmaaja or perhaps it was just good defense by Koltun, which made it look bad. Tyrmaaja shoots in for a takedown but Koltun shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Marek Koltun has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aulis Tyrmaaja. Koltun cracks Tyrmaaja with a good jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Koltun misses with a body kick. Tyrmaaja lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Koltun lands a body shot.
Tyrmaaja shoots in but no luck this time. Koltun fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Tyrmaaja. Tyrmaaja looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Koltun misses with a kick to the body.
Tyrmaaja only half commits to the counter leg kick. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Koltun scores with a jab to the body. Koltun ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tyrmaaja moves away. Tyrmaaja is clearly looking to counter with head kicks. Tyrmaaja fails to land the takedown.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A solid leg kick lands there for Koltun.
Tyrmaaja shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Koltun napping and manages to drive through into side control! Koltun tries to buck Tyrmaaja off but Tyrmaaja is having none of it. Koltun is working hard here to advance position. Tyrmaaja lands a decent elbow from side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tyrmaaja cracks Koltun with a big elbow. Koltun tries to buck Tyrmaaja off but Tyrmaaja is having none of it. Tyrmaaja creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Tyrmaaja lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Koltun tries to bench press Tyrmaaja off him but Tyrmaaja keeps the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tyrmaaja cracks Koltun with an elbow. That is naaassty. Tyrmaaja landing a few strikes.
Koltun is rocked! Tyrmaaja trying to control the position but Koltun is working away. Tyrmaaja landing strikes. Oh Koltun is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Koltun is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Koltun seems to have got his legs back now. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Tyrmaaja sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Koltun is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

That was a close round but I would say that Marek Koltun will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Koltun wants to slow Tyrmaaja down by chopping away at his legs. Aulis Tyrmaaja is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Tyrmaaja is defended easily by Koltun. Tyrmaaja goes for a double leg but Koltun avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Koltun continues to drive forward. Tyrmaaja shoots for a double leg takedown but Koltun sprawls well. He's pushed Tyrmaaja's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's four minutes gone in the round. Tyrmaaja is bucking up trying to escape but Koltun cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Koltun lands a nice shot to the head. Koltun looking to control but Tyrmaaja is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Marek Koltun overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Koltun lands a nice shot to the head. Tyrmaaja is trying desperately to improve position. Koltun controlling from mount. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Tyrmaaja is squirming around, avoiding Koltun's attempts to control the action. Koltun controlling his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marek Koltun dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Tyrmaaja gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Tyrmaaja lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Koltun trying to keep a closed guard but Tyrmaaja is proving a slippery customer.

That's one minute gone in the round. Koltun looking for a sweep. Not yet Koltun, not yet. Tyrmaaja trying to control the position from guard on top but Koltun is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Tyrmaaja avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Tyrmaaja lands a couple of decent looking shots. Tyrmaaja throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Koltun works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Koltun is trying to keep Tyrmaaja in close.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Koltun is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Tyrmaaja is aware though and is defending well. Koltun keeping moving, preventing Tyrmaaja from controlling successfully. Koltun manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Tyrmaaja manages to get himself to full guard.

Koltun wants to pass the guard but Tyrmaaja is keeping the position. Tyrmaaja looking to hit a scissor sweep but Koltun is one step ahead there. Aulis Tyrmaaja has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tyrmaaja has his foot on Koltun's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Koltun works his way back into a safe position though. Koltun trying to control but Tyrmaaja is working from the bottom. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Tyrmaaja is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Marek Koltun is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Koltun digs a good hook to Tyrmaaja's body.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Tyrmaaja tries to get back to half guard but can't. Tyrmaaja misses with a strike from the bottom. Koltun controlling the position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Tyrmaaja tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. Koltun takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
And that's the end of the fight! Marek Koltun showed his dominance in that final round. Well Koltun has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Marek Koltun! After the fight, Marek Koltun was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
