Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between David Cross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kensei Hitori (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Cross might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Adrenaline. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Cross! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kensei Hitori! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hitori tries a head kick but it misses.
Hitori tries to clinch but Cross moves out of range. Cross lands a with a good body shot. David Cross seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cross circles away from the clinch attempt.
No luck for Cross with that takedown attempt. A head kick misses from Cross. Hitori tries to clinch but Cross is having none of it. No luck for Cross with that takedown attempt. Cross displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Cross throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Hitori tries to close the distance and clinch but Cross swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Cross rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hitori moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Cross.
Cross moves into the clinch successfully.
Hitori gets underhooks to prevent Cross's takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Cross. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cross misses with a knee to the head. Cross is trying to stall.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cross prevents Hitori from breaking the clinch. Cross on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Cross misses with a body kick. Hitori clinches with his opponent.

Hitori dodges the punch combination from Cross.
Cross tries to clinch but Hitori moves away and Hitori counters by clinching up. Hitori should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Hitori wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Hitori wants to get back to striking at distance but Cross won't allow it.

Cross darts in trying to clinch and Hitori holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Cross shoots in looking for a takedown. Hitori tries to sprawl out of it but Cross keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hitori manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Cross is breathing heavily. Hitori has Cross up against the cage in a clinch.
Cross gets control of Hitori's arms and successfully pulls guard. Cross will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Hitori passes easily into side control. Nice work. Cross is letting Hitori control him for a moment. Hitori trying to control the position but Cross is working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hitori looks up at the clock and then as Cross takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Hitori smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Hitori is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Cross knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Cross pushes Hitori away and creates a bit of space to escape. That's big trouble for Cross! Hitori sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. I looks like Hitori might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Cross on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Cross tries to get out of the position. Cross is squirming around, avoiding Hitori's attempts to control the action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kensei Hitori dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Cross tries to clinch but Hitori moves away and Hitori cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Cross avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Cross misses with a wild combination.
Cross clinches. Hitori blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Cross wants to break free but Hitori has control.
Hitori breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Cross fails with a takedown attempt. Hitori moves into range and clinches up with Cross. Hitori manages to pull guard.
Hitori manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Hitori looking to control but Cross is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee warns Cross that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hitori trying to control but he's not successful this time. Cross is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Hitori tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Hitori with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Despite being in the dominant position, Kensei Hitori just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Hitori misses with a takedown attempt - Cross sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Hitori throws a head kick but Cross moves out of range.
Hitori looks to clinch and Cross counters with a series of strikes. Hitori will be more careful next time no doubt.

He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Cross wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Cross breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. The fight moves into the clinch position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Cross is looking to break free of the clinch but Hitori has double underhooks. Hitori drops down looking for an ankle pick but Cross pulls his leg out and moves away.
Hitori stuffs the takedown. Hitori tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cross paws at him with a jab and circles away. Cross is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Hitori blocks a head kick by Cross.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hitori looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Hitori throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cross's waist but Cross gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hitori off to one side. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kensei Hitori showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Hitori avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Hitori throws a body kick the misses and Cross counters by clinching up. Hitori decides to pull guard. Hitori is trying to keep Cross in close.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hitori might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Cross kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Hitori throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Cross wants to get up but he can't break Hitori's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Cross postures up.
Cross tries to stand but Hitori is controlling from the bottom. Hitori looking to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Cross is posturing up here but Hitori has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Cross tries to roll out but it's too tight and Cross has to tap! Slick submission there by Hitori!
