Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brody Blynn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brody Blynn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anthony Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson scores with a head kick. Blynn tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Johnson.
A head kick misses from Johnson.
Blynn throws the kick towards the body but Johnson avoids it.

Blynn closes the distance and clinches.
Johnson wants to break free but Blynn has control.
Blynn goes for a takedown attempt but Johnson pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Blynn takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Anthony Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Johnson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Blynn fails with a takedown attempt.

Blynn tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Blynn tries to score a body lock takedown but Johnson shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Johnson is trying to force a seperation but Blynn has the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Blynn ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Blynn no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Blynn had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Johnson defends it easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Blynn might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Blynn wants to control but Johnson is keeping busy and won't allow it.
It looks like Johnson is going to stand back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Blynn looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Johnson scores with a head kick. Blynn tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

and Blynn counters with a series of strikes. Johnson will be more careful next time no doubt.
Johnson misses with an uppercut. Blynn saw that one coming.
Blynn dives in and grabs Johnson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Johnson pushes down on Blynn's head and hops out.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Johnson gets tackled into the cage by Blynn. Blynn maintains the clinch.

Blynn jumps guard.

Blynn manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Blynn breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Blynn fails to land the takedown.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Anthony Johnson will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Blynn shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Johnson as he jumps to the side.
Johnson lands with a slapping head kick.
Blynn takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Johnson lands with a kick to the temple. Blynn shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Johnson tries to keep at a distance but Blynn has taken the fight into the clinch.
Blynn tries to pull guard but Johnson holds him up against the cage and eventually Blynn drops back down to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Johnson is looking to break free of the clinch but Blynn has double underhooks.
Blynn is looking for a takedown.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Johnson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Blynn misses with a takedown attempt - Johnson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Blynn dips to his left and cracks Johnson with an uppercut!

Blynn tries to pull guard but Johnson won't allow it.

Blynn gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Johnson is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Blynn presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Blynn tries for a takedown but Johnson manages to get underhooks.

Blynn escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Blynn forces Johnson back against the cage and clinches.

Blynn breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Blynn pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Anthony Johnson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Johnson winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
