0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Allan Brown! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brown misses with a body shot.
Winston throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Brown was covering up waiting for the punch and Winston finishes the takedown easily into guard. Brown trying to strike off his back.
Winston wants to pass the guard but Brown is keeping the position. Winston is working hard here to advance position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Winston avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Brown wants to sweep here but Winston controlling him for the moment.

Brown wants to stand up but Winston is controlling him. Brown tries to land a sweep but no joy. Brown throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Brown stops Winston from passing to mount. Brown is trying to get back to half guard. Winston working away. Brown is looking to reverse the position. Winston tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Winston has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Brown wants to control but Winston postures up.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Brown struggling a bit here. Brown is looking to regain half guard here but Winston keeps moving and retains side control. Brown wants to get back to his feet but Winston drags him back down. Winston goes for an armbar! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Brown postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Brown looking to pass the guard. Brown wants to get up but he can't break Winston's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Richard Winston dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Winston misses with a left hand and Brown counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Brown. Brown manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Winston trying to control the position from guard on top but Brown is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Winston looking to pass the guard. Brown is looking for a triangle but Winston pushes his legs off easily.
Brown has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Winston is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Brown. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Winston works to advance to full mount. Brown defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Winston is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Brown has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Brown wants to control but Winston is having none of it.
