Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Short Low (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Petey Pablo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Low comes to the cage accompanied by Short People. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
16 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Short Low!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

29 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Petey Pablo!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Ian Loll and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Low swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Pablo throws a push kick but Low slaps the foot to one side.
Pablo rushes Low and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Pablo tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
I was talking to Low's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Pablo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Low tries to avoid it but Pablo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Low to the ground. Low escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Petey Pablo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Low ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Pablo moves away.
Pablo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Low paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Low lunges at Pablo with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Pablo's hand.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Low, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

After the fight, Short Low was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
