Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between James Solis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Wolf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, James Solis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alex Wolf! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Wagner Zegers and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Solis tries to clinch up and Wolf counters with a three punch combo that has Solis backing up. Solis nods at Wolf to acknowledge the strikes. Wolf closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wolf not doing much here.
Solis is not content to let Wolf control the position. Solis looks like he's trying to stand up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Solis taking some punishment here, with Wolf in his half guard. Solis trying to control but Wolf postures up.

That's one minute gone in the round. Solis wants to get back to his feet.
Wolf is controlling the pace.
Wolf looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Wolf is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Solis defends it well. Wolf not doing much here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Solis tries to kick Wolf off but Wolf keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Wolf is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Solis defends it well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ground and pound from Wolf. Solis wants to get back to his feet. Solis is looking to improve his position.
Wolf takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wolf tries a head kick but it misses.
Solis misses with a head kick.
Wolf changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Solis keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A head kick misses from Solis. Solis with a poor takedown and Wolf counters by moving into the clinch. Wolf pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Wolf misses with a series of wild punches.
Wolf fails to land with a series of punches.
Solis appears to be looking for a big counter. Solis instigates a clinch. Solis jumps guard but Wolf stands there with Solis around his waist. Solis gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Wolf darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Solis is trying to stand up here but Wolf is controlling him well. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Wolf not doing much here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Solis pushes Wolf off looking to stand but Wolf dives back in and keeps control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alex Wolf dominated that round. That's time! Solis's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
The fight stays on the outside here - Solis looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Solis drives through with a takedown into Wolf's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Wolf looking to control.
Wolf looking for a sweep. Not yet Wolf, not yet. Wolf has control of Solis's left arm, preventing Solis from doing any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Wolf wants to improve his position but instead Solis has moved into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. The fighters are battling for position here. Wolf manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Wolf has control of Solis's left arm, preventing Solis from doing any damage. Wolf preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Wolf tries to land a front kick but Solis steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. A big right from Wolf misses. Wolf clinches up with Solis and pushes him back against the cage. Wolf managing to block the knees to the body from Solis.
Wolf is pressed up against the cage. Solis has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Wolf down to the mat. Wolf avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Solis misses with a shot to the body and Wolf counters by clinching up. Solis is looking for a takedown. Solis stalling in the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Wolf wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Wolf wants to get back to his feet but Solis is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Wolf is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Wolf has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Solis wanted to stand there but Wolf had control of the position. Wolf working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Solis doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Solis manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Wolf is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Solis throws a head kick but Wolf moves out of range.
Wolf feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Wolf trying to control but Solis is working from the bottom. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Wolf controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Wolf must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Solis is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Wolf dives into side control.

Alex Wolf showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Wolf defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Solis. Wolf throws a big counter head kick but Solis avoids it with no problem. Wolf keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Wolf swats away the attempt to clinch by Solis. Wolf keeps the fight on the outside. Wolf rushes Solis and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Solis looking to slow down the pace here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Solis goes for a takedown attempt but Wolf pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Solis. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wolf fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Solis looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wolf has closed the distance and engaged Solis in a clinch.

Solis is looking to control Wolf's arms but Wolf gets an underhook and turns him. Now Solis has his back to the cage. Wolf's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Wolf throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Solis was covering up waiting for the punch and Wolf finishes the takedown easily into guard. Wolf wants to get up but he can't break Solis's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Alex Wolf has got the better of the ground game so far. Solis wants to stand and escape but Wolf is having none of it. Wolf landing some decent shots from guard. Wolf looking to pass the guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wolf is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Solis looking for a guillotine here but Wolf defends easily.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Solis being controlled here, momentarily. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wolf chips away with some ground and pound. Solis is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Wolf is aware though and is defending well. Solis keeping moving, preventing Wolf from controlling successfully. Wolf is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Wolf throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Wolf throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Solis tries to counter with a takedown but Wolf is quick to defend against it. Solis throws a head kick but Wolf moves out of range.
A little jabbing left from Wolf on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Wolf uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Solis. Solis dives in and grabs Wolf's left leg, looking for a takedown. Wolf pushes down on Solis's head and hops out. Wolf lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Solis circles away quickly and effectively.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Solis gets caught flat footed, as Wolf shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Wolf gets to his feet. Solis looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Wolf shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Wolf was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Wolf tries to stand but Solis is controlling his head. Solis is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Wolf controlling from side mount. James Solis has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Alex Wolf is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Wolf tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
And that's the end of the fight! Alex Wolf comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Wolf has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
