Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Perry Roscrow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Goodnight Irene (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roscrow comes to the cage accompanied by Wicked Gil. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
35 - 35 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Perry Roscrow! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
40 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Goodnight Irene! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roscrow lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Roscrow closes the distance and clinches up with Irene, looking for a takedown. Roscrow pushes Irene against the cage but Irene circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. As Roscrow backs off Irene throws a huge counter combo but Roscrow manages to avoid it all. Roscrow throws a push kick but Irene slaps the foot to one side. Perry Roscrow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Roscrow cracks Irene with a good jab.
It looks like Goodnight Irene has been cut. Irene falls off balance throwing a combination
and Roscrow cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Roscrow throws a big shot that misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nice takedown defense from Irene. No joy for Roscrow on that attempt. Roscrow shoots for a takedown but Irene saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Irene is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Perry Roscrow. That's going to take a lot out of him. Roscrow changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Irene looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
That's one minute gone in the round. Roscrow is trying to get an arm triangle but Irene is defending well. Roscrow working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Roscrow tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Roscrow throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Roscrow trying to control the position but Irene is working away. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Irene is not content to let Roscrow control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Roscrow tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Roscrow has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Roscrow wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Irene, who protects the arm well. Roscrow is working to tighten his grip on Irene's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Irene has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Roscrow is really squeezing tight and eventually Irene passes out! Roscrow breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
