Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Erasmo Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zed Ace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Erasmo Ryan has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryan is looking to clinch but Ace is avoiding it.

Ace shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Ryan manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Ryan looking for subs off his back but Ace has passed one foot through into half guard.
Ace missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ace is looking to advance position but Ryan won't allow it.
Ace works his way into side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ace wants to control but Ryan is keeping him busy.
Ace fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Ryan looking for a sweep but Ace has passed into full mount! Oh no!

Ace is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Ryan has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Ace sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Ryan is working to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ace looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Ace in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

Ace looking for a guillotine from mount but Ryan is having none of it.
Ace throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ryan manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Ace decides to stand up.

Ace looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Ryan!

Ryan is rocked!
Ryan managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Ace.
Oh Ryan is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Ace looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Ryan tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Ace fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Ace cracks Ryan with a big right hand but Ryan just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Ace remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Ryan gets back to half guard.
Ryan is breathing heavily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Ace thows a huge punch but Ryan dodges it nicely.

Ace is working for a submission of some sort.

Ace is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Ryan doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Ace.
Ace controlling the action here.
Ryan seems to have got his legs back now.
Ace looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Zed Ace dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Ace changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ryan looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Ryan explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Ace connects with a superb combination that knocks Ryan out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Ace before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Ryan!
