Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Durham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Hinkley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeff Durham! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Adam Hinkley! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hinkley pushes Durham up against the cage in a clinch. Hinkley jumps into guard, dragging Durham to the mat.
Hinkley wants to control the position but Durham says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hinkley can do anything to dispel that myth. Durham wants to control but Hinkley is keeping him busy. Durham tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Hinkley. Durham throwing shots but Hinkley is blocking nicely. Durham content to control rather than advance. Hinkley is trying to get back to full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hinkley is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Durham has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Durham not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Durham lands a nice looking body shot.
Durham darts in trying to clinch and Hinkley moves into the clinch. Hinkley prevents the takedown attempt.

Both fighters working to control the clinch. Hinkley tries for a takedown but Durham manages to get underhooks.
Hinkley has clasped his hands together around Durham's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Durham wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Durham isn't going anywhere. Hinkley working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Hinkley is looking to take a break and control but Durham is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Durham manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Durham sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Hinkley defending well though. Durham is controlling the pace.
Durham is breathing heavily. Hinkley pushes Durham off looking to stand but Durham dives back in and keeps control.
Durham is trying to work for a kimura but Hinkley is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hinkley wants to get back to his feet. Durham missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Durham trying to pass the guard but Hinkley defending well. Durham stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Hinkley to get to his feet. Hinkley scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Durham is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Durham has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hinkley is working away from the top position though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Durham is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Hinkley is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Durham tries to get to full guard but Hinkley has control of the leg. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Good standup being displayed there by Durham as he connects with a hook. Hinkley is looking to clinch but Durham is avoiding it.
Durham tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Hinkley counters with a shoot takedown. Durham fights it but they end up in guard. Hinkley throws a big right hand that misses. Durham wants to sweep but no luck. Hinkley is looking to work some ground and pound but Durham has wrist control. Durham wants to sweep but no luck. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hinkley wanted to stand there but Durham had control of the position. Durham wants to sweep but no luck.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hinkley trying to control the position from guard on top but Durham is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Hinkley tries to clinch but Durham moves away and Durham counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Hinkley dodges the punch combination from Durham.
Hinkley moves in looking to clinch but Durham pushes him off. Durham keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Durham scores with a jab. Hinkley acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Hinkley tries for a takedown but Durham sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Hinkley tries to clinch and Durham counters with a nice body shot. Durham instigates a clinch. Hinkley escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The fight stays on the outside here - Durham looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Hinkley shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Durham as he avoids it easily. Jeff Durham has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adam Hinkley. Durham throws a hook but Hinkley avoids it easily. Hinkley tries to clinch up but Durham circles away and keeps his distance. Durham clinches but Hinkley breaks the clinch and Hinkley counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Jeff Durham seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Durham will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Durham misses with a looping right. Hinkley lands a nice hook to Durham's body. Durham takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Hinkley shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Durham is squirming around, avoiding Hinkley's attempts to control the action. Durham is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Durham tries to buck Hinkley off but he can't manage it. Hinkley with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.
Hinkley working Durham over with strikes here. Durham tries to hold on but Hinkley pushes him away. Durham is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Hinkley is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Hinkley takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Hinkley swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Durham is now in Hinkley's guard. A big mistake from Hinkley there, giving up the dominant position! Durham wants to control from the top but Hinkley keeps moving. Durham showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Hinkley looking for a sweep. Not yet Hinkley, not yet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Adam Hinkley showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Hinkley lands with an uppercut that bounces Durham off the cage and back into rage. Durham shoots for a takedown but Hinkley saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Durham wants to clinch but Hinkley slips to the side so Hinkley counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Hinkley wants to control from the top but Durham keeps moving. Durham avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Durham controls Hinkley momentarily but Hinkley frees himself. Hinkley preventing the sweep. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Hinkley is looking to stand up but Durham won't let him. Hinkley won't allow Durham to get back to his feet. Durham trying to keep a closed guard but Hinkley is proving a slippery customer.
That's one minute gone in the round. Durham pulls Hinkley in close to his closed guard and prevents Hinkley from doing any damage or advancing position.

Hinkley bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Durham is trying to control Hinkley's posture but Hinkley avoids it. Hinkley wants to stand but Durham is controlling his arm. Adam Hinkley has got the better of the ground game so far. Hinkley really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Durham. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Hinkley trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Durham trying to keep a closed guard but Hinkley is proving a slippery customer.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Durham is on top in guard.
Durham trying to control but Hinkley is working from the bottom. Hinkley has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Durham can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Durham with a nice head shot there.
And that's the end of the fight! Adam Hinkley comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Hinkley winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
