Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mean Muggin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mean Muggin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, David Parker! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Sosuke Kotani and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Parker forces Muggin back against the cage and clinches. Muggin tries to stall but Parker uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Parker crunches a lovely knee into Muggin's ribcage. Parker jumps into guard, dragging Muggin to the mat.
Muggin forces his way into half guard. Parker is doing well to control the position and prevent Muggin from advancing to side control. Muggin not landing any meaningful shots this time. Muggin perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Muggin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Muggin is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Parker still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Parker has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Muggin tries to bench press Parker off him but Parker keeps the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Parker wants to take a breather but Muggin manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Parker. Parker must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Parker throws an elbow that misses. Muggin uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Parker's guard. Nice move by Muggin! Muggin won't allow Parker to sweep him here. Parker has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Muggin has passed into side control.
Muggin misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Muggin looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Parker is avoiding damage well.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Parker wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Parker takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Muggin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Parker keeps working. A bit of a lull in the action here. Muggin tries for a kimura but Parker is defending well. Muggin is trying to get an arm triangle but Parker is defending well. Muggin looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Parker is avoiding damage well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Parker trying his best to control but Muggin has mounted him. Parker is squirming around, avoiding Muggin's attempts to control the action. Parker is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Parker is looking to improve his position but Muggin isn't that keen on the idea. Poor strikes thrown by Muggin there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Muggin wants to control the pace but Parker is squirming around nicely. Parker holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Muggin tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Muggin throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

We've been hearing good reports from Muggin's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Muggin trying to control but he's not successful this time. Muggin prevents Parker from getting the reversal. Parker tries to hold on but Muggin postures up. Parker regains half guard. Parker looks winded! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Muggin thows a huge punch but Parker dodges it nicely.

Mean Muggin dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Parker closes the distance and clinches. Parker is defending well against a takedown attempt. Parker's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Parker manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
The crowd are getting on Parker's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch. Muggin drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Parker gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Parker decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Muggin looks to land a combination but Parker avoids it well. Muggin with a lazy takedown attempt letting Parker counter with a right hand. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mean Muggin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Parker scores with a head kick. Muggin tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Muggin fails with the takedown and Parker counters with a lovely shot to the body. Parker rushes Muggin and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Muggin takes a knee to the side of the body. Parker decides to pull guard. Parker not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Parker utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Parker pushes Muggin off and scrambles back to his feet.
Muggin tries to sprawl but Parker drives through with a takedown into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Parker sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Muggin defending well though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Parker content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Parker wants to control but Muggin is keeping him busy. Muggin wants to control but Parker is keeping busy.
Parker wants to stand up but Muggin has a hold of him and won't allow it. Muggin manages to get to full guard.
Parker got a little sloppy there for a moment and Muggin has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Parker has managed to get both his arms back between Muggin's legs - danger averted.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Muggin has his foot on Parker's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Parker works his way back into a safe position though. Parker seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Parker drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Muggin manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Parker has Muggin in his guard. That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Muggin stopping the sweep attempt from Parker. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Muggin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Parker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Muggin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Muggin trying to control the position from guard on top but Parker is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Muggin working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. David Parker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Parker moves into range and clinches up with Muggin. Parker's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Parker throws a head kick that misses. Parker drives through and clinches with Muggin against the cage.
Muggin has Parker pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Parker manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Parker pulls guard successfully.
Parker has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Parker wants to stand but Muggin is controlling the position. Muggin has gone for a leg lock! Parker slips out almost immediately though and dives into Muggin's guard.

Parker's coach down at Ninjoumi No Tame Nekirimushi was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Parker's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Muggin fails with an attempt to clinch.

Muggin drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Parker gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Parker has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Muggin is trying to keep an underhook but Parker manages to get the takedown into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Parker is just content to waste time from the top position. Muggin takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Parker wants to control from the top but Muggin keeps moving. Muggin tries to land a sweep but no joy. Muggin not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Muggin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Parker gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Muggin throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Muggin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Parker can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Parker with a flurry of punches that miss. Parker drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Parker jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Muggin is looking for a triangle but Parker pushes his legs off easily.

Parker got a little sloppy there for a moment and Muggin has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Parker has managed to get both his arms back between Muggin's legs - danger averted. Parker stands up from guard. Let's bang! Parker feints and as Muggin raises his hands in defense, Parker changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Parker not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Parker avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Parker stands up and waves to Muggin to follow him.
And that's the end of the fight! David Parker comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Parker has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
