Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roosevelt Chen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Evgeniy Cirfych (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Evgeniy Cirfych was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cirfych throws a head kick that half lands.
It looks like Roosevelt Chen has been cut.

As Cirfych tries to get set, Chen tries to push him back and clinch up but Cirfych manages to avoid the attempt.

Chen lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Cirfych at a distance.
Horrible takedown attempt by Chen or perhaps it was just good defense by Cirfych, which made it look bad.

Chen seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Chen ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Chen no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Cirfych really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Chen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Chen has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Roosevelt Chen overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Chen pushes Cirfych off and gets back to his feet.
Cirfych lands with a nice combination. Chen backs away looking to recover.

Chen stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Chen wants it to stay on the feet.

Chen throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Cirfych stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

That was a close second round but I would say that Roosevelt Chen will probably get the nod.

Cirfych on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Cirfych displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Chen.
Cirfych fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Chen to the ground. Cirfych is now in Chen's guard.
Chen manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Chen.

Chen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cirfych can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Chen is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Cirfych is defending well for now.
Chen is pushing Cirfych up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Chen has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Cirfych uses from the top position.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Chen, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
