Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Johnnie Leonard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gianni Skandalaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Skandalaki has chosen jean charles skarbowsky as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Johnnie Leonard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Gianni Skandalaki!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leonard shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Skandalaki pinned against the cage. Skandalaki gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Skandalaki let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Leonard dives in for a single leg takedown but Skandalaki sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Leonard shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Skandalaki counters with a leg kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johnnie Leonard. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Leonard looks to clinch
and Skandalaki counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Leonard throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Skandalaki tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Leonard is in Skandalaki's guard.
Skandalaki is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Leonard dives into side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Leonard throws a strike aimed at the side of Skandalaki's head but Skandalaki avoids it well.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Leonard misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Check out the look on Leonard's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Leonard thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Leonard looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Skandalaki is avoiding damage well.
Leonard controls the position.
Leonard working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Skandalaki is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Leonard has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Skandalaki is working to avoid the ground and pound but Leonard connects with a decent elbow.
Skandalaki takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Skandalaki is pushing Leonard's head away, looking to escape. Leonard manages to hold on to the position though.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Leonard doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Skandalaki counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Leonard gets a clinch.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Skandalaki.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Leonard jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Skandalaki walks away with a smile on his face. Leonard gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Leonard darts in looking for a takedown but Skandalaki gets double underhooks and turns Leonard into the cage.
As Leonard backs off Skandalaki throws a huge counter combo but Leonard manages to avoid it all.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Johnnie Leonard will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Leonard takes the fight into the clinch.
Skandalaki with a knee to the head.
Skandalaki lands an elbow inside.
It looks like Johnnie Leonard has been cut.
Leonard goes for a takedown attempt but Skandalaki pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Leonard gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Skandalaki counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

and Skandalaki counters with a thumping low kick.
Leonard throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Skandalaki's waist but Skandalaki gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Leonard off to one side.
Leonard darts in trying to clinch
and Skandalaki counters with a two punch combo.
Leonard is rocked!

and Skandalaki moves into the clinch.
Oh Leonard is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Skandalaki lands a nice shot to the body.

Skandalaki lands a big knee! That's hurt Leonard! Oh, he's all over the place! Skandalaki lands another knee that sends Leonard to the floor and the referee steps in to end the fight!
