Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bret The Grinder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ante Pavelic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The Grinder comes to the cage accompanied by Drake - Energy. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ante Pavelic!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Leandro Rodrigues and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Grinder lunges at Pavelic with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Pavelic's hand.
Pavelic throws a head kick that misses.
The Grinder fails with a takedown attempt.
Pavelic looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Ante Pavelic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A solid leg kick lands there for Pavelic.
The Grinder throws a shot from downtown. Pavelic moves away and avoids it.

The Grinder has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Pavelic.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The Grinder is working for a kimura but Pavelic is defending it quite comfortably.

Pavelic really doesn't want to stay on the ground with The Grinder. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Pavelic wants to control but The Grinder is keeping busy.
The Grinder working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Well, if The Grinder is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Pavelic catches The Grinder napping and connects with a big right hand that sends The Grinder to the canvas!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
