Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zander Givens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gary Aims (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gary Aims told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Zander Givens !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gary Aims!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Daniel Cesar and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aims misses with a lunging right hand
and Givens counters with a straight right hand.
Givens will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Aims has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Aims moves out of range of the body kick.
Aims swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Givens defending well as Aims loads up on a big left hand.
Givens uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Givens has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Animal House in the buildup to the fight.
Aims scores with a nice strike.
Givens swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Givens rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Aims moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A big right from Aims misses.
Aims takes one to the side of the head.
Givens jabs Aims to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Givens slips a straight right by Aims.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Aims throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Aims looks to land a combination but Givens avoids it well.
A jab lands there for Givens .
Gary Aims seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Aims misses the jab.
Decent striking displayed by Aims there.
Aims waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Givens .

Givens slips under a jab from Aims.
Aims takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Aims looks to throw the jab but Givens is out of range.
Aims lands a big uppercut and Givens crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Givens looks OK. Aims waves Givens back to his feet!
Givens is rocked!
Givens tries to bum rush Aims with a series of wild strikes but Aims uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Oh Givens is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Aims ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Nice shot lands for Givens .
Aims is stalking Givens . Givens circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Aims, and it's lights out! Givens really payed the price for that rookie mistake.
