Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Julio Joseph (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Filipe Flopples (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Filipe Flopples will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 1, fighting out of London, Julio Joseph! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Filipe Flopples! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Chris Edwards and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Flopples misses with a kick to the body.
Joseph went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. The fight moves into the clinch position. Joseph has Flopples pressed against the cage.
Joseph trying to stall but Flopples improves his position.
Flopples looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Joseph effectively controlling the action here. Flopples wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Joseph has him pressed against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Flopples being controlled against the cage. Flopples breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Flopples shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Joseph pinned against the cage. Joseph gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Flopples pushes Joseph up against the cage in a clinch. Joseph misses with a hook from the clinch. Flopples jumps guard but Joseph turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Joseph prevents the takedown attempt.
Julio Joseph has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Filipe Flopples. Flopples throws a knee to the head but misses.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Flopples wants to take the fight to the mat but Joseph manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Joseph takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Joseph displaying some good clinch control by pressing Flopples up against the cage. Joseph gets a warning from the ref for wasting time. Joseph is trying to stall.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Julio Joseph. Flopples looks for a takedown but Joseph sprawls well. Flopples misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Flopples. Joseph drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Flopples working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Joseph. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Joseph throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Joseph preventing the sweep. Flopples looks winded! Joseph throws a big elbow that misses. Joseph wants to control from the top but Flopples keeps moving. Joseph postures up and lands a big shot to Flopples's brow. Flopples avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Joseph loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Flopples can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Joseph controls the pace. Flopples looking to control.
Joseph slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Joseph could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Flopples controls Joseph momentarily but Joseph frees himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Joseph drops back looking for a leg! Flopples is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Flopples manages to kick Joseph off! Joseph jumps back into Flopples's guard. Joseph has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Joseph works over Flopples with some ground and pound from guard. Joseph chips away with some ground and pound. Joseph is looking to work some ground and pound but Flopples has wrist control. Joseph trying to control but Flopples is working from the bottom. Joseph throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Flopples works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Joseph postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Joseph lands a couple of digs. Joseph landing some decent shots from guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Julio Joseph dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Joseph lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Joseph trying to stall but Flopples improves his position.
Flopples has Joseph pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Joseph manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Flopples manages to break the clinch.
Filipe Flopples seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Joseph has closed the distance and engaged Flopples in a clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round. Joseph defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Flopples. Flopples is breathing heavily. Flopples misses with a takedown attempt enabling Joseph to counter with a crisp jab. Julio Joseph has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Filipe Flopples. Joseph shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Flopples as he jumps to the side. Flopples shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Joseph napping and manages to drive through into side control! Joseph explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Joseph shoots in and bounces Flopples off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Joseph chips away with some ground and pound. Joseph throwing strikes but missing. Joseph is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Flopples can do to turn this around?

Joseph is pushing down on Flopples's leg trying to pass to half guard. Flopples is fighting to maintain full guard but Joseph has managed to sneak the leg through. Joseph working Flopples over with strikes. Flopples taking some punishment here, with Joseph in his half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Joseph lands a nice short elbow. Joseph is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Flopples defends it well. Nice strikes from Joseph there. That's three minutes gone in the round. Joseph lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Flopples won't allow Joseph to pass to mount. Joseph winds up and cracks Flopples with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Joseph looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Joseph drops an elbow to the side of Flopples's head. Flopples is trying to stand back up but Joseph is controlling him
Joseph slips a nice elbow through Flopples's hands, connecting with Flopples's forehead. Flopples has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Joseph is working away from the top position though. Joseph keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Joseph looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Flopples with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Joseph working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Flopples taking some punishment here, with Joseph in his half guard. Joseph wants to take a breather but Flopples is having none of it. Joseph has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Flopples defend it? Joseph steps over the head and cranks it - Flopples is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Joseph!
