Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ethan Frank (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gil Handerson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ethan Frank could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Gil Handerson's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ethan Frank! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Gil Handerson! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Jorge Garcia and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Handerson buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Handerson works over Frank's head and body with a nice combination. Frank could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Frank rushes Handerson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Handerson stalling in the clinch.
Handerson has had enough of the clinch but Frank keeps him there for the moment. Frank has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Handerson avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Frank tries to pull guard but Handerson won't allow it.

Handerson wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Handerson is trying to force a seperation but Frank has the dominant position. A nice right hand lands inside from Handerson. Handerson goes for a takedown in the clinch but Frank prevents it.
We've been informed that Handerson has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Frank working aggressively here.
Frank leaning his opponent against the cage. Frank jumps guard but Handerson turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ethan Frank. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Frank jumps into guard, dragging Handerson to the mat.
Handerson trying to control but Frank is working from the bottom. Handerson won't allow Frank to sweep him here. Handerson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Handerson makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Frank is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Frank might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Frank is pulling down on Handerson's head. It's preventing any offense from Handerson, at least for the moment. Handerson is looking to stand up but Frank won't let him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Frank keeping moving, preventing Handerson from controlling successfully. Frank is pulling down on Handerson's head to control his posture.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Frank closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Handerson did well to prevent Frank getting side control. Frank is controlling the pace.
Frank seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Handerson for as long as he can get away with.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Frank missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Frank in particular looking to stall. Frank is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Frank works his way into side control. Handerson is looking to get back to his feet here but Frank is keeping cool and he's managed to take Handerson's back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Frank biding his time, looking for the opening.
Frank wants to control but Handerson is keeping busy. Handerson is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Frank off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted. Handerson avoids the strikes from Frank. Handerson fending off the submission attempt from Frank. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Handerson keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Frank's efforts to push away. Handerson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Frank fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Handerson, pushing him back against the cage. Frank is trying to drag Handerson to the mat but Handerson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Frank jumps guard but Handerson turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ethan Frank. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Handerson wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Frank has him pressed against the cage. Handerson landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Frank tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Handerson smiles and moves away.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Handerson drops Frank with a beautiful combination! Frank stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Handerson is looking for the KO!

It looks like Ethan Frank has been cut. Gil Handerson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Handerson forces Frank back against the cage and clinches. Handerson lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Handerson as Frank tries to tie him up. A frustrated look appears on Handerson's face as he tries to break the clinch. Handerson is trying to break the clinch but Frank has him pressed against the cage. Handerson with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Frank is looking for a takedown. Handerson tries to pull guard but Frank forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Frank is looking to break free of the clinch but Handerson has double underhooks. Handerson connects with a nasty looking knee right to Frank's face.

Handerson catches Frank with a right, a left, a right. It's raining punches and Frank forgot an umbrella! Another punch and he's down. This one is over!
