Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frito Lei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Sann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frito Lei could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Daniel Sann's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
32 - 120 - 3, fighting out of Los Angeles, Frito Lei! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Daniel Sann! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sann circles away from the clinch attempt.
Lei looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Sann throws the kick towards the body but Lei avoids it. Sann lands with an overhand left. The fight stays on the outside here - Lei looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Sann gets in close and instigates a clinch. Good body shot from Lei.

Sann's coach down at Cozad MMA Los Angeles was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Sann's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Sann digs a good body shot into Lei's ribs. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lei has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Sann. Sann will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Lei doesn't manage to clinch there - Sann circles away.
Sann lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Sann.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lei misses with a hook
and Sann counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Lei thinking. Frito Lei seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lei has taken the fight to the clinch.
A short right from Sann on the inside. Lei blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Lei tries to break the clinch but Sann is controlling the position. A frustrated look appears on Sann's face as he tries to break the clinch. Lei breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sann feints a jab promting Lei to slip. Sann then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Lei slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Lei is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Sann goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Sann tries for a takedown but Lei sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Sann throws a front kick aimed at Lei's knee but Lei avoids it well. Sann swats away the attempt to clinch by Lei. Despite the aggression on Sann's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Sann uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Lei has time to react.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lei throws a combination that misses and Sann counters with a stiff right hand.
Lei is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lei takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Oh Lei is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Sann misses with a wild combination.
Lei rushes Sann and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Lei seems to have got his legs back now. Sann drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Lei gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Lei throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Sann blocks it with crossed arms. Sann working aggressively here.
Sann goes for a takedown attempt but Lei pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Frito Lei has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daniel Sann. Sann lands a jab to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sann throws a right and a left that Lei avoids nicely. Lei tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Sann manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Lei misses with a double jab
and Sann counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Sann fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Lei on the side of the head. Sann tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Lei manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Lei looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Sann cracks Lei with a good jab. Lei looks to clinch and Sann counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Sann clinches up with Lei and pushes him back against the cage. Lei tries to throw a body punch but Sann avoids it by throwing Lei back against the cage. Lei blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Sann unloads a knee to the mid-section. Lei lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Sann is trying to stall.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sann lands a body punch in the clinch. Sann has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Sann throws a punch but it's blocked by Lei. Sann lands a right hand. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sann tries a knee to the head but Lei blocks it.
Sann is trying to push Lei away but Lei has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Sann looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Sann fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Sann drops down looking for an ankle pick but Lei pulls his leg out and moves away.
Lei tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Sann lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Lei tries to clinch but Sann is having none of it. Lei rushes Sann and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Lei tries to land a knee to the head but Sann blocks with his arms.
Lei blocks a punch to the side of the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Daniel Sann dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Lei swats away the attempt to clinch by Sann. Lei misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Lei moves into the clinch. Lei is pressed up against the cage. Sann has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Lei down to the mat. Lei avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Sann, right into the meat.
Sann lands a lovely overhand right. A head kick from Lei lands but Sann takes it in his stride. Daniel Sann seems to be getting the better of the standup. A looping hook to the body misses from Lei. Sann does a little dance to reset his feet. Sann connects with a good right hand that stumbles Lei. Lei circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Lei wants to clinch up but Sann keeps it at a distance. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lei ducks right into an uppercut from Sann. Sann circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Lei to the canvas! Lei doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Sann keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Daniel Sann!
